Me too. While i am in pd right now, took the chance to cycle around. I guess that's one of the advantages of having a foldie. You can basically take it anywhere you want, without taking too much space in your car, and you dont need a bike rack at your car too. biggrin.gif

I am doing leather crafting nowadays apart from riding off course. Here's a project I have made for cycling. Anyone interested in getting one can PM me.  It's all manually hand stitched and genuine leather with suede lining. No expense is spared. Edges are fully burnished. Cheap too! Made such that it can be mounted on saddle rails or Brooks saddle eyelets and even front handle bar mounting  rclxms.gif

Does anyone know where can we source bicycle tube more specifically 4130 chromoly tube for bicycle frame? Always prefer to buy from local businesses if all terms are rational.

hi, i'm just passby. i'm looking for a new folding bike and would like to know where i can get a good one or a better bargain. Saw few brands but Tern and Dahon looks good but over my budget. I'm looking for something below 1K as I just using it for leisure riding. Any good advice would be great help. I'm looking for a good bike shop around subang and cheras area.

In Cheras area you can try Kimbell Jaya opposite the Petron station in Cheras Perdana. For your budget the best bet is Raleigh which is about 800 bucks and 8 speed too. Off course there are cheaper ones like Oscar Imagine or the Vogue but Raleigh is a better bike. Sadly, Dahon's cheapest isnow about 1.5K compared to then , it was less than 1K for the Eco C7 or what they call Dahon Route now. Just visit Kimbell Jaya and the boss can advise you better. icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks.....there are just too many brands, all seems to be good but nowadays, branding can quite be deceiving. even ones at decathlon or sports direct are selling unknown brands and it wasnt cheap.

At least the Btwin from Decathons ( I think they are sold at 700 plus) are a better bet than those 'capalangs' Reebok and another brand I can't recall, sold by Fitness store. laugh.gif

java and xds are in the same category. go with the best parts given the same price.
as for decathlon, their folding bike is mass produced low end bike from china, skip this or get the same from taobao

thanks....so far, Java is the one with the best specs but concern is the seller. and/or after sales service. whatsapp seems like doesnt want to reply.

USJ Cycle - a little bit pricey but review/service seems to be good.
Elegant Bike - cheapest but review and replies seems to be slacking.
Kimbell Jaya - not sure the price but the review seems to be bad especially the service.

frankly with these bicycle make sure you check well before you buy, after buying sales service susah la..
but i never rely on their sales service anywhere, i prefer DIY on maintenance and tuning,
The only time you need the shop is for warranty claim.

in terms of pricing, kimbell i think offer the cheapest folding bikes in klang valley. USJ Cycle is not a 'little' pricey, instead it's blardy expensive. biggrin.gif i bought my dahon speed at kimbell around 1.9k. usj price? rm2.6k! that's rm700 difference for THE SAME BIKE!..

for servicing, any LBS can do it for you. for simple tuning, normal rate is around rm20-30 oni. or for the cheaper option, learn to DIY. tongue.gif

and the conclusion, this frame manage to complete without any problem. it rides downhill stable just like my dahon or tern bike. and it feels solid and stiff when off saddle.

its on par with dahon bikes thats all i can say laugh.gif
