May be Dahon follows design and color scheme of 2017 superbikes like Ducati Monster, KTM Duke or BMW Motorrad with hump fuel tank and flaming red.

I believe that Dahon Curl i8 is one of the 43 Eurobike 2017 award winners. They will be announced on 30th August, first day of Eurobike Show.
Then sales of i8 start to fly next year... |

QUOTE(etigge @ Aug 23 2017, 11:11 AM) The Curl i8 is their limited edition and I think after the 500 units, they will turn back to Curl i3. Else they will disappoint their first 500 buyers. Also I don't know if the rear triangle uses 127 mm or 135 mm hub width. Nexus can be used on both length but the Shimano Alfine and Rohloff can only fit in 135mm. If it is 127 mm , then it's a pity! From Japanese site, it mentioned that i8 is using Shimano SG-C6001-8V which is 135 mm hub width and Shimano site mentioned that only 7 spd hub using 127mm hub width. |

Just few weeks ago, I wanted to make bicycle leather carrying handle from my old leather office bag. My idea got bigger and I wanted to make saddle bag since I have the extra leather. Watched some YouTube. One inspired me that he moved to a smaller town and turned his leather crafting into business. Good luck to you.
BTW, I believe that there are at least 7 persons who preordered i8. I personally know 4 of them. |

I store glue tube, patches, tire Levers, missing link, first aid plasters in a foot clear plastic tube and closed both ends with cotton. Insert the clear plastic tube into the seat post. Others in top tube bag.

Do you think the current news of Kobe Steel scandal affected some of the bicycle frames? Kobe Steel falsified data on quality of its products. More than 500 companies are affected.

I think non limited edition will be available soon for 30,900 Baht or RM4,000. Most likely Dahon will use good marketing strategy, delaying Curl i8 production by 6 months or a year for curl i8 market to heat up.
