Just to answer myself. Found out that she's on VIP5 (OKU) RM119, HyppTV, No Free calls. Not sure how she got that package in 2017.

I got the news yesterday (30/8)
http://www.sinchew.com.my/node/1677746/
http://www.sinchew.com.my/node/1677508

[1] TM will launch a product next month and this product will contribute to TM's FY2018.
[2] TM may launch a product to target highrise customers, due to loss of customers to Time. A package for students is another possibility.
[3] 88% Unifi >10Mbps. It means still have 12% (120k) customers getting 5Mbps, could be biz users and OKU.

Just want to ask if I could have maxis fiber and Unifi in the same house. One in front and one behind. Do I need 2 btu and 2 router?

It is the MAC address of the STB.
*
So, if this is the case, so most probably, the stb MAC Address is tied with the hypttv account and also the unifi account for this to work. So, does not know whether we can call tmnet to register the stb we get from outside to our hypttv account and unifi account to make this work. Only those installer guy will know but my installer is reluctant to answer as he just roughly mention you can try which is obviously not working.

I thought RM129 is without free calls, HyppTv still got?
*
Hypptv for app yes, but the tvbox won't have bandwidth to watch.

Useful for just using internet only.

Yes, you can. One of my clients has UniFi in his study and Maxis Fibre/Astro IPTV in his living room. 2 separate sets of BTUs and routers. His UniFi is on VDSL and his Maxis is on Fibre. Why he has 2 is due to his idiot TV installer.

Theoretically you can run 2 subscriptions, 1 maxis and 1 Unifi, off a single BTU to 2 routers but I don't know if anyone has done that before.

PPPoE is the right setting. The IP will change but it should be days weeks before it changes so definitely something is not right.

I had a similar prob earlier this year. My symptoms were:
- Internet will be non-responsive then...
- Router disconnects and reconnects to unifi
- IP address changes after reconnect
- Happens at certain times of the day (for me mostly evenings but quite unpredictable, morning/afternoon also got)
- It'll dis/reconnect like 20 times in 10 minutes
- It'll do that then it'll be ok for a few hours and then start again
- Phone line still works OK when the above problem occurs

In my case, it wasn't the modem or the router. Still using the same devices. Made a report to TM. No-one from TM came to check so I assume TM did something on their side. On the 2nd or 3rd week, everything was back to normal up to now.

Can you check your router logs for PPPoE disconnection? In my report to TM, I sent them my router logs where (after I turn on PPPoE debug), I can see keepalive packets from TM every 20 secs. Then it stops and disconnects.

It looks something like this during normal operation. I can't seem to find the screenshot I did for TM anymore.

Not sure. In May 2016, she changed from Streamyx Home 1M RM110 to Streamyx Home 2M RM99. Non OKU packages I believe. Then April this year, she changed to VIP 5 (OKU Package) RM119. Don't know if anything changed between May 2016 and April 2017.

What she has now is definitely the one from your 2nd update: VIP5 OKU RM119 with HyppTV (STB).

The OKU discount seems in line with what I saw on TM's website a few weeks ago. It's no longer there but Advance 30 OKU was at RM189 i.e.:RM10 discount. So I guess TM is going to be settling on a RM10 discount for OKU packages. If she doesn't watch HyppTV on her TV, I'm going to recommend that she change it to UniFi Lite 10M OKU RM119.

Hi, i can't find the router logs like yours for PPPoE disconnection. What's your log filter type? Do you think it is better to change to dynamic IP for internet connection type?

No discount for Warga Mas. My neighbor just applied and installed Unifi Lite 10 at RM129.
