btw, the TMrewards point already in, catalogue have to wait for the new updates.

the TMrewards portal shows:-
*landline terminated with streamyx when unifi lite went active. after 24 hours, old number ported over to residential voice. thumbsup.gif
*
Couldn't you keep the old copper line and number instead of porting over to Unifi phone line?

Just tried yesterday. So I think its tmpoint then. I need to convert my old number to my unifi account too.
*
I suggest you keep old number on the old line
That's because old line will still work during blackout

you still have ur Smart Phone to call
*
Of course.
But if you're going to maintain old fixed line number you might as well keep it on a tried and battle tested technology.
Lightning, wet lines, blackouts and it still keeps chugging along. cool2.gif

and also since it is optic fiber, it is safer when there's lightning - lightning surges wont be able to travel thru the fiber unlike copper (killed a few phones, modems, ethernet cards in the past when i was using streamyx).
*
Don't forget you also need protection on powerline too.

In the bill stated that the unifi lite 10mbps is actually rm99 only. Plus hypptv ruby pack rm30. Total is RM129. Is there anyway I can remove the hypptv pack? I'm not using it anyway. Just need the internet.

You have agreed to pay for HyppTV for 12 months, so if you cancel HyppTV you need to pay the penalty. If you don't want HyppTV, you shall get another bundle, Webe together with Unifi Lite Internet (no HyppTV) for RM178 (RM99+RM79).
*
Why the 12 month contract for HyppTV when you can't separate from Unifi Lite subscription after the 12 month contract ends?

IMO It must be a reason why contract term for HyppTV is only 12 months. Who knows 12 months from now, you can unbundle HyppTV and opt for Webe, or bundle with some other things more interesting (eg Netflix, mobile internet etc), or TM sell naked internet then to kill Streamyx 1/2Mbps.
*
VIP HyppTV also got 12 month contract.
Anyone on VIP tried to cancel their HyppTV subscription?
By now surely most VIP subscribers already exceeded 12 months service

(I think HyppTV on Advance also got same 12 month contract)

.......-.-....do you consider the electrical resistance + power when you run long network cable?

If the cable is too long, there might be no signal at one end of the connector.

Just saying.
*
Ethernet cable is limited to 100m max.
It's not weak signal that limits the length of the cable but timing issues.

The brightness of the LEDs are killing!
My home office is dimly lit and the Huawei BTU is lighting up the room!
Well, problem solved. Masked! Ha! Ha!

Or reposition it somewhere as a night light.

With DIY hacks I'm often torn between aesthetics and practicality.
Practicality usually wins but damn..., ugly can sometimes be really distracting. rolleyes.gif
