QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Aug 28 2017, 05:14 PM) Yes. They told me that my area project will start somewhere in early 2019 and will complete in the end of 2019. Actually, my area falls under subb coverage, not hsbb. Currently they are actively installing the new vdsl cabinet all around my area but suprisingly my taman are the only three taman that was leave out for the cabinet upgrade When i complained to tm and mcmc, they stated that subb project for the three tamans will only commence on 2019 and we will be provided with ftth instead of vdsl. Again, only if the project will be proceed. I'm afraid i don't get anything, either vdsl or ftth. Instead i'll stuck with streamyx 8mbps forever.... I hv similar situation as u b4, at my taman, they hv Unifi coverage from Jalan 1-5 and Jalan 7, but my address of Jalan 6 is not available due to "technical issue" to install infrastructure of Unifi, I forgot I hv reopened my complaints at MCMC for how many times, but I remember I have received at least 2 times of letter from TM to 'explain' about it. End up I didnt complain again as Digi hv offered Infinite 150 plan at the same time. I even scold the girl who called me on phone, but useless too...

Let said if my area later got vdsl cabinet rather than FTTH, is it means I will unable to subscribe unifi 30mbps? Dont think TM later will laid fibre cable again.

About 3 weeks ago, TM came to change my neighbour's Streamyx to fibre. I think she was on 1 or 2mbps. So now she's running on fibre with a new BTU, DIR-850L router and HyppTV STB(!).
When I do a speedtest, I'm getting 5/5mbps. What plan is she on?

QUOTE(nmb3rs @ Aug 29 2017, 12:15 AM) why dont u ask her what plan did she sign up for? She doesn't know. She doesn't get a paper bill and she has no email. All this while, she goes to TMPoint to pay when she receives the SMS notification every month.

If I recall correctly, she might need to register if this is her first time logging in. https://occ.unifi.my/HSBBCustomerPortal/HSB...erPortal.portalfyi, the website under maintenance now.. so she'll have to wait until it is up again

I don't think she has ever used a computer. Before you say smartphone, she has a Nokia, the one with the original snake game. Maybe her son can do it.

Use TM's "Wifi Optimiser Tool" app, you will see it after scanning. It could be something cheaper than Unifi Lite RM129.

Dont think TM later will laid fibre cable again. SUBB project design spec is 20Mbps. It is VDSL2, better than VDSL. So the cabinet (FTTC) shall be within 1km from customer's premises. Technically you may get higher speed (>50Mbps, max ~300Mbps) if your premise is just less than 500m away. So in the future, they can just build more cabinets nearer to the customer premises to improve the speed. Another DSL is currently being developed and tested, the G.Fast technology will deliver up to 1Gbps (a few years from now). so ADSL -> VDSL -> G.Fast This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Aug 29 2017, 07:09 AM

But the black box is put on every pole which different from white box which only place on selected pole.
