Any sos for the original stock Kia spark plug being Iridium long life?

And btw, 100k and 160k is a huge difference of 60k leh, i.e. 6 service runs  sweat.gif

Mine is currently at 106k so thining about to change it..

If you are the lazy type to change parts, i suggest you to get the iridium. As iridium can run for 100k km. While normal plugs can run around 30k km++. Depends on condition la. Actually price will not be a huge difference. As 1 set of iridium is around 160-170 myr. While, ori spark plugs are rm18 per pc. But iridium can run 2-3 times longer.

Simple Calculation.
A) Per set of Original Spark Plug - 18x4 = 72 * 1.06(GST) = RM76.32
B) Per set of Iridium Spark Plug = RM170

Assumptions.
- Set A runs 35k KM per set. 35x3 = 105k KM equivalent to RM76.32 x 3 = RM228.96
- Set B runs 100k KM per set. 100k KM equivalent to RM170.

Dont forget, the above have to include labor charge. Each labor should be around 20 bucks. biggrin.gif

Hey Dainez

To date most sparks are changed at 100 thousand km intervals and I think we should stay at that. I think perhaps what I read on forteforums may not be accurate. Give and take a few thousand of it should be fine.

just to share, the side mirror plastic gear can be repair easily, plastic gear can be purchase at taobao for RM40+ include shipping.

For my case, i found a nice guy that drive forte too, he custom make a steel gear and replace the plastic gear of side mirror, cost me RM150 include installation.

before i found the nice guy, i got a quotation from a shop in sg besi, he quote me around RM170 with plastic gear replacement, and that guy is attitude is so bad.

now both my mirror is fixed and can survive for another 3 or 4 years. XD

Hi guys.

Is there any recommended service center around wangsa maju?
I just bought forte 2.0.
During the test drive, aircond was working and the air is cool.
But yesterday, only normal air coming out, no cool air.
Tried switching auto and manual mode, but still no cool air.
I am thinking to do health check at service center first before sending it to any aircond repair shop.

is there any reasons to use Petronas EO? Its expensive in my thoughts. You can search through lazada for engine oils or tesco/giant for discount sometimes. Use any fully syn from big brands will do.

Any suggestions on other EO for forte? I nvr tried other brands yet.. Just thought that kia exclusively dealt with petronas for specially developed EO (5w30) for forte, guessing that shud give the best performance which suits the car.. smile.gif

hmmm, actually its not specially develop for forte lol. anyhow, for petronas syntium 3000 with that price, actually its nothing to shout out. For me, you can switch to cheaper alternatives. Not harm your pocket ma. 100++ you can get fully syn from mobil1, shell and alot more. changing the EO within the period without over extending is the key point. I've ever use syntium 3000 too. but nothing special for me. so hop to another cheaper alternative. biggrin.gif

mind to share how's the quality and experience with them so far ?

I'm experience car wander when i drive over 100 mpkh..and looking to find the root cause also...did a bit of readings and some pointing to the culprit such as rear wheel hub, bearing, etc..

biggrin.gif oo i see.. cos i saw the naza/kia logo on the EO bottle before.. guessing that could be "specially developed" for naza/kia cars.. haha.. anyway, maybe will try other brands of EO after this since its quite difficult to find the syn 3000 5w30 on local market apart from the sc itself.. i did saw mobil1 on sale at tesco but nvr wanted to try that EO tho.. hows the performance comparing to syntium 3000?
