QUOTE(alextyw85 @ Aug 17 2017, 04:14 PM) Bro, something like this? The plastic gear is 1 only or need to buy 1 pair? macam forte one easy to spoilt, i already kena once and claim warranty.... yes, thats the shop, before me already got ppl from Malaysia buy it.If so easy to spoilt, i think cerato one should also easy to spoilt as cerato comes with auto folding mirror.... https://world.taobao.com/item/546334419026....bucket=9#detail The gear not yet arrive cant comment, seem just a unit. not sure easy to spoil or not, but i think my case is because my mirror kena bang during 1st week of my car, that cb motorist drive in middle of 2 lane and bang my side mirror and caused my mirror bend to outside, and the cover fly out. Maybe that time the gear already start cracking, so slowly cannot use oledi. This post has been edited by claudetan: Aug 17 2017, 04:39 PM |

QUOTE(lamer2000 @ Aug 17 2017, 08:43 PM) Can share some instruction on how to fully take apart the side mirror to access the motor? I only managed to take out the side mirror but had difficulty taking the motor apart Well, technically, you cant take the motor completely out because some wiring, here the instruction from me (i take no responsibiliy if you break your side mirror):1. Take the mirror out. 2. Unscrew the mirror holder (the round thing) and remove it. 3. from the socket side, there should be a single screw with a plastic cap, remove the screw, and then remove the plastic cover, dont worry, you can pull it out because it's soft plastic. 4. unscrew the 3 screw after you remove the plastic. 5. turn your side mirror upside down, you should see a cover there, use screw driver to remove the cover,, you might need to apply a little bit force, you will see some screw there, remove the screw and you good to go, the screw pretty hard to remove. 6. Now you should able to move the motor out a bit, this should leave you sufficient space to do things, unplug the LED signal and mirror cable will give you more space. Unfortunately, the socket that connect to the mirror is too big to pull out. 7. use your finder to pull the wiring cap on the motor, then take the motor cover off slowly, dont pull by force, you will bend the connector from the wire to the motor, twist it instead. 8. unscrew the motor and take out the cover and you will see the gear. QUOTE(pubmut @ Jun 25 2018, 07:41 PM) Mine has that noise too but only on hot days. To date it's not fixed yet because each time I bring it to the mechanic the sound magically disappears...heheh. Actually it disappears because the days are cool when I go to the mechanic. actually i spent my whole day at Korean car mate today, in the morning the foreman test it but no sound, then they jack the car and found my stabilizer link broken, then i changed the 2 stabilizer link, after that i drive to work, then the sound come again, so i on leave and take my car back to korean car mate, test with the foreman, initial 3 loop no sound, finally it getting hot and reproduce the sound. Unfortunately, the foreman have no idea and suspect is absorber problem, will take my car to korean car mate this friday to check again.Quick prognosis is likely the suspension or absorbers, but I've changed my absorbers like a year and a half ago so until I get down to it, it really doesn't affect much of the car handling at all. The other issue I face is that after a recent tyre alignment and balancing the tyre guy tells me my caster is misaligned, saying that I must have been in a pretty bad accident to misalign the caster by about 2cm. I've no idea because the only "accident" I've had is destroying the alloy rims due to potholes. The tyre guy showed me that the gap between the tire and the wheel well is greater on one side compared to the other. Hmmm... So I've been recommended to go look for the bodyworks people to align the caster back to position. So you fixed it by replace your absorber?
