biggrin.gif oo i see.. cos i saw the naza/kia logo on the EO bottle before.. guessing that could be "specially developed" for naza/kia cars.. haha.. anyway, maybe will try other brands of EO after this since its quite difficult to find the syn 3000 5w30 on local market apart from the sc itself.. i did saw mobil1 on sale at tesco but nvr wanted to try that EO tho.. hows the performance comparing to syntium 3000?
*
For me, more or less the same la. cant really differentiates it. placebo effect applies. haha. I'm more to brand and price wise biases. price reasonable and trust able brands then its good to go. rclxms.gif

Am not saying syntium 3000 is not good. but if it cost 200++ then its not reasonable to me.

Checking in if your cars with over 120k on the odo, does your engine make a light tapping noise when cold starting and during the first few minutes of driving?

Too soft to record on camera. But it sounds like "ffffffttt...." or light fast tapping (suspect lifters) when accelerating from cold start.

It goes away after a while. No difference in driving feeling just that you can hear it.

4.5 years of forte sx and now i face the following:

1) rat squeaking sound when engine still not warm after engaging D or R gear (actually got this issue on my first year but just ignore until now).
2) jerking while decelerating from 3rd to 2nd gear
3) driver window button spoilt (soft press will also engage to auto pull)

Planning to visit SC this weekend to deal with these issues..

hi guys, my side mirror (right side) folding mirror motor spoilt - it kept making sound earlier, i tried to find the fuse to unplug (didnt try all) but couldnt find it. went to accesory shop luckily the guy just open the housing inside the car (the triangle shape one) and disconnect the socket..works but problem is i cannot electronically adjust my mirror to see the cars and side signal not working...

anyone know which fuse to unplug in the car and also how much cost to change the motor?

just to share, the side mirror plastic gear can be repair easily, plastic gear can be purchase at taobao for RM40+ include shipping.

For my case, i found a nice guy that drive forte too, he custom make a steel gear and replace the plastic gear of side mirror, cost me RM150 include installation.

before i found the nice guy, i got a quotation from a shop in sg besi, he quote me around RM170 with plastic gear replacement, and that guy is attitude is so bad.

now both my mirror is fixed and can survive for another 3 or 4 years. XD

guys,

long time no see! still with your forte? well, i am still with my 2010 2.0 4 speed forte.
still loving it....
btw, anyone had low idle rpm now?
i am experiencing rpm around 650-710rpm with aircond on while car idle.
it causing my aircond didnt kick on for the compressor thus cause the aircond not cold during idling...

May I know your idle engine rpm ? for 2.0

yup I called SC also said that 1.6 is either 4 speed or 6 speeds... but actually for the later is a CVT with 6 preset speeds.

I'm pretty sure it's a regular 6-speed automatic. Definitely not CVT.

Any update on these? I have the same issue for #1 and #2.

As for #1, I complaint to the SC before, they tighten some pulley/belt, it was not so apparent when I took the car but came back again after a while (they say I have to leave the car there to investigate if I want to further check)

Does #1 sound like Noisy Lifters (you can find on YouTube) or is it coming from the belts? Have you changed your vbelts and/or tensioner?

#2, have you checked your ignition coil?
