Battery newly changed tested both keys no problem and past few days no such thing happened. If it's not battery then wad other causes may lead to the 'insert key icon'?
*
From my personal experience, I've only encountered two factors leading to such a warning light:

1) Low/Weak remote battery.
2) Electronic Devices/Mobile Phones interfering with the remote key's signal.

If your issue is not related to any of the above, suggest that you get a diagnostic check at the SC.

Hi, Guys,

I'm just reported in... driving 2013 Forte 1.6SX with 120k km 6 spd.

Recently found my car was jerking when slowing down, it jerk when reaching speed at 20km/hr. It happen quite some time but now become obvious (no jerk when accelerate).

Secondly, when hard accelerate from standstill, a hold back feel occur when reaching 40km/hr.

Anyone encounter before? pls comment.

Sounds like a gear issue. Jerking when decelerating or when braking?

2nd gear seems suspect.

I have the same problem when accelerate early in the morning. that is for 2nd gear only and then after that is smooth.... I think is because gear box need to warm up.... if your problem happened all day, then i think is gear box problem... if only happened morning first drive, then i think is ok...

Yes, sent back to SC at Old Klg Rd, the foreman test drive and he also suspect is the gear box issue.

ask me to put in some ATF additive (Nano ATF care) to expand the O ring... put in and now observing the changes, but 1 wk past the jerking still the same...

I encountered the same problem before, the SC also do some cleaning on the throttle body, its just reduce the rattling (charged me ard RM35), that was 2 years ago.

Just share with you, last 2 months my car jerking when moderate accelerating, when i saying jialat in my heart (coz i think it might be the gear box issue), until the engine light turn on, i called to the SC and they said its the ignition coil problem.

Went to SC next day, diagnosed the system shows that the first ignition coil spoilt, changed and everything go back to normal, even the rattle while idling much improved.

So it could be the ignition coil issue for your case.

ard RM250 per ignition coil, diagnose charged RM60... planning to buy OBD II for my own checking.
