in order for you to later instagram you are diving, make your buddy bring camera not yourself cool2.gif
if I want the pictures of that whale shark or that random nudibranch I can find tonnes of them online or from my buddy's camera biggrin.gif

It was amazingly clear! wub.gif At some sunlight/camera angles you can't see the particles in the water. Viz 40+m easily.

Is there any drawbacks in taking the SDI certification instead of PADI? Am planning with a friend to take SDI in April in Tioman

It all depends on the instructor but mostly people say SDI teaches you less items compared to other agencies.

But in terms of being recognised all over, it’s good? Ehat I mean say if go for holiday in Maldives or Raja Ampat, Komodo, Weh for example, I would be able to use the certification for dives?

In theory, there's no drawbacks since SDI and PADI are both members of the WRSTC which sets common standards, and courses are cross-agency recognized.

What's your course itinerary like?
