QUOTE(HITAMZZ @ Aug 20 2017, 10:41 AM) I guess you're right about being confidence in the water first.. Yes. As long as you able to swim and comfortable with waters and deep blue water. It would be fine if I just learn by myself with the help of friends right? Learn with who or take swimming class is unnecessary but if u enjoy swimming, y not ... it sharpen and enhance your swimming skills further. |

QUOTE(pl95077 @ Aug 22 2017, 02:10 PM) Not necessary to know swimming, as long as you don't get panic in water. Your statement is incorrect. If you sign up for PADI, PADI never required you to know swimming. Unless you go for Dive Master course. U need to know some adequate swimming skills. QUOTE(ambsviii @ Aug 29 2017, 12:24 PM) Last year DM don't want to bring my team to Sophie Wreck. He said minimum 100 log and only 1 dive for the day because need long surface interval. I said I'll come back with 100 log dive. QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Aug 29 2017, 12:36 PM) Lumba Lumba? Min 100 log dive or Rescue diver certification and above. Looks like it... Lumba2 very strict when come to Sophie Wrecks... unless u r pro or at least 100 dives... It's worth it though, Sophie wreck was amaaazzzzing. Its was good but very very deep... dive com keep beep beep beep... sienz... |

QUOTE(ambsviii @ Aug 29 2017, 01:46 PM) Not Lumba2. With uncle Stephen, our living legend. hahaha... Stephen? Steffan? hahaha... We went to this dive site only. 1. Rubiah jetty (check dive) 2. West Seulako 3. Limbo Gapang 4. Canyon 5. Batee Tokong 6. Arus Palae But still good place. Got more fish than Malaysia Morey eel sooooooo big and jinak Lumba Lumba no longer going Sophie unless u r pro. Even pro sometime they said no also... My last visit, not much moray eel and others eels... And my guide wrestle with Octopus ... tats the iconic event. Oh ya... and a huge school of devil rays flying on us at early super early morning dive in Batee Tokong... Every dive go deep deep deep... not to my liking but haiz... wat to do... all guide go deep. |

QUOTE(cacat99 @ Sep 1 2017, 11:15 AM) Not sure these was up or not!?http://english.astroawani.com/business-new...e-malacca-58730 Tried performed surveillance dive around Klebang, Melaka. Vis bad, but marine life quite surprised me probably due to untouched area beside fishing. Manage to spot reef sharks. Plenty of shipwrecks, antiques and canon ball lies beneath the bottom of the sea. Depth was around 17m only. Tank n compressor really BYO. Alternatively, u can go nearby bomba and get it pump. However, Professional License is required. On another hand, if u r advanced diver and above. U can actually go join a trip to dive in Melaka straits, its a LOB trip. Again, Vis is nothing great but can be fine vis. Deep dive mostly. U definitely will spots some Manta Rays, some pelagic species. But the spot is smack right in d middle of Melaka straits. Departure from Lumut. quite a heavy traffic... Trip very limited. Heads up over the Malaysia Dive Group in FB. Once awhile seen them posted such trip there. QUOTE(pl95077 @ Sep 5 2017, 09:37 AM) wah! 71min at 60m = can GG anytime with normal gas...Is 20min at 60m then slowly ascend as per his description... multilevel diving... Beyond 40m should consider Tec Dive edy with diff kind of gas. Again, pls dive safe. Dive beyond the limit or your training are putting yourself in danger. |

QUOTE(2387581 @ Sep 5 2017, 04:46 PM) hmm...link for you. I did not finish watching the video since I'm at work...skipping through I see not just one guy...few others carrying extra tank too...while in comments says those who didn't has it staged on ascent line. I guess you simply need more air for the dive. hahaha... not me... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abjp_hBZqGI I generally dislike deep dive. But for Sophie... done once or twice. Cukup. |

I guess you simply need more air for the dive. I was bringing extra tank while I dive Sophie. For backup and emergency. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abjp_hBZqGI My guide as well. They also bring extra tank too. Short bottom time and longer time to ascend. The only thing tat couldn't help much is the many of our dive comp, suunto especially. Keep beeping. Annoying betul. QUOTE(ghostshell @ Sep 6 2017, 03:53 AM) Simply Overrated n Overfishing. Ain't cheap too.Went even to Whale Island... well, common stuff. couple of sharks... But whale really no... They even invited me to go again with great discount. But no le... water bit milky. Vis so so. Some time are good. Dive couple of spots... bout 6 but havent explore all yet. Unpredictable currents. Quite a boat traffic. Some of boats just ramp thru even smb deployed - a big one somemore. Maybe in near future, I'll go again and give it another chance and another try. Hope it get better. *finger crossed* |
