2.0L. Waiting time upon signing LO is 3 weeks. Could be faster but the color I wanted not avail that time.

I see, I am waiting for my SA to confirm the stock availability for 1.5TC 2WD, Pearl White. Need to get and trade in my current car as the insurance is expiring in end of Dec.

Err, what type of news are you expecting? I think they are still focused on selling the latest models.

Same view here on the coating being a waste of money when maintenance (ie weekly wash) is still required and there being no protection against chips. I am happy with DIY hand wash and using spray wax when drying car. Don't like sending car out for washing because you still need to spend time waiting around in the time you can finish it yourself plus it is good exercise.

I have the Groovy shades and as I was an early bird, received the non-fitting 'C' shades which have subsequently been replaced early this month (November 2017). The Groovy management apologised profusely for the error and I didn't make a fuss. Don't know about the quality of the Laser shades (if at all available from local Malaysian resellers) and the imitation ones (Amerguard and Ninja). The quality of the Groovy shades seems fine - sturdily build and of thick fabric though my front driver's window shade is a little 'spoiled' (ie bottom part sort of creased unreversibly resulting in a non-obvious tiny 1x10 mm? gap at the bottom) from having been squeezed by the power windows when wound up, probably due to having brushed the shade slightly outwards when reaching for parking ticket. The Groovy shades are pricy but already spent RM2.2k for 3M Crystalline window tint and decided that spending another RM440 (being 20% of that cost) is worth it for maximum heat rejection - 70% VLT tint has its limitations.

Reckon you can sell the groovy shades for half price when the time comes to sell the car...

Mind to share where you get the RM2.2k 3M tinted? Thanks.

Err, 3 row seat AWD with sensing. Maybe upgrade with things they left out, eg sunvisor lamp, speed auto lock, remote start, kick sensor for the boot, memory seats, sub woofer ? Myvi can offer so much, why can't honda?

Cuz capitalism... At least the CRV got full Honda Sensing and powered boot. The CX-5 was even more stripped. smile.gif So right now, I don't think Honda is so worried about competition in that price bracket. Too early for rumored updates.. Now if Mazda was to not only match and surpass the CRV's specs, but also launch & nicely price the CX-8? That'd light some fire under them.

Myvi? Simply wants to crush the competition. Good value for those who have been waiting. Have to wait a bit more for proper reviews to see how it drives. I'd say for now, it's right up there at the top.

I'm posting my insight from civic here in-case you guys find it useful:

Sharing tricks for by pass HU, hope i'm not too late, this trick was already on civicx forum since June. No Y-cable installation required. No rooting android required. Reversible. (Note i have not test all the function yet but it looks promising, as always do it at your own risk)
No pic for guidance try to use your imagination biggrin.gif I won't be explaining every detail but here it goes:
Step 1: Go to HU android browser

Step 2: Clear the browser address and enter exact following input without the quotes "about:debug" then press go (nothing will happen first, it's intended)

Step 3: Clear the browser address again and this time enter exact exact following input without the quote "file///" then press go
(by now you should see file menus)

Step 4: In the file menu navigate to vendor>app> then search for something like 'whiteListService.apk' and tap it. (Warning: do no tap on any other files or apk, i do not know what will happen but be warn)
It will ask for installation, allow it and tap the install button, then it will prompt installation failed, nevermind that is also intended.

Last Step: Hold power button and restart the HU. Now try and see by pass is working or not, play movie, browse picture..etc

Well, as for more tech savvy guys, u should have guessed by the name whiteListServiceApk, this is how honda does restriction for our HU. It is better than rooting, just alter the whitelist.xml will work as intended. Personally i have not tested it yet but people in civicx sort of confirm this approach worked for installing external apk.

I've tested on CR-V the "by pass". It works for HU default browser and calculator and setting is enable even when vehicle is moving but i haven't got the chance to test the hdmi mirror link yet.

The 3rd row in the CRV will be totally pointless. Ruins the outlook of this SUV.

There are other choices out there with the 3rd row such as the Outlander and X-trail.

Leave the CRV as a 5-seater for the Malaysian market.

+1. I'm really glad that there's no 3rd row for Malaysia market. Technically it is hard to fit adults or grown up children and it took up lots of cargo space. For me, to have a 3 rows suv, mid size is not sufficient, need to go to full size suv

Hi, i'm driving the TCP model and my HU showed the warning message "ACC Check System" during my journey back from office last Friday nite. It also appeared early Saturday morning and i informed SA and they told me didn't see this message before. Due to the tight schedule from the Service Centre and i only able to go back the centre for checking this afternoon. However, the warning message disappeared in the Saturday afternoon. Has anybody encountered the same problem as mine? Attached Image Attached Image

Anyone using the Groovy sunshade (magnetic type) for the CRV? Can share their experience? Will the magnetic scratch the door when sticking on it?

Current daily driver is a Civic FD with a well-tuned 1.8 engine that from standstill, feels like a racehorse sprinting out of the gate. Can easily drop a gear, pull out from behind a suddenly slow moving vehicle and overtake rapidly. Press down longer and it clocks 150km/h without vibrations with rpm around 2.5k. This is an 8 year old car and granted it’s a sedan and CSUVs drive differently. I guess I did go in with certain expectation levels as comparing it with the CX-5 & Tiguan, both proving wonderful to zip around town and on highways. Yeah I agree, a 2.0T is more ideal for the CRV.

It’s alright, I agree with most.. The CRV plays to its strength as the space & interior packaging king. Then Honda Sensing with AA & CarPlay got tossed in. So those with such priorities would naturally go for it. There be rumors of the roomier Mazda CX-8 CBU in Malaysia next year.. Interesting times ahead.  brows.gif

As for 2.0T SUV, the official new (FL) Toyota Harrier checked all the boxes.
Will you give it a go?

May I know what did you do to tune your Civic FD to such a race horse?

Yeah, the Harrier seems okay. But at RM260K, I would rather be looking at the 2018 Volvo XC90 or MB options. smile.gif

Finally got my hands on hdmi dongle to test it out, unfortunately this trick only works on gallery photos and videos, hdmi still doesn't work on the move. The only way is to root the HU.

I took a look at the maintenance schedule and does anyone actually realise that it's more expensive to service (labour and Aie cleaner element) the 2.0 compared to the 1.5 TC? Why is that so?
