QUOTE(blacktubi @ Aug 7 2017, 06:31 PM) I found a firmware on a Russian forum with VoLTE enabled. PM me if you are interested to try. Only for the brave ones. I can't try as E5186 is my primary internet connection currently. Brave ones.... reminds me of KFC Double Down

zeonczk, sorry for the late response. I forgot to let you know I tried on Sunday. Speed is exactly the same with or without tethering using my iPad Mini 2. Speed still flew over 50Mbps.

Want to confirm, with Huawei E5186 modem and Infinite 150 plan, I can just plug in the normal phone to RJ11 port on the modem and enjoy free unlimited call to all mobile/telco ?

Anyone here able to enable PPTP or L2TP connection using another router with i150? The purpose is to get a public IP from VPN. It seems to be blocked. I tested with Unifi and no problem.

I tested with Unifi and no problem. Almost all mobile telco block this. And i confirm digi and maxis blocked it. Use openvpn. This post has been edited by wc_how: Aug 8 2017, 10:24 AM

The link I send to you, there's a list of devices that only supports them! If your phone got voLTE enabled also, if Digi voLTE not supported on your phone also no use! boleh faham ke?

not entirely digi infinite related but interesting experience otherwise.
i was able to connect my tp link m7350 mifi to old asus rt-n56u router.
1) flashed to the latest rt-56u official firmware 2) connect the mifi into router via usb port 3) manually set up the digi profile inside router ui, and disable the mifi SSID broadcast 4) enable routers 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz connection and set up the SSID password
Pros: 1) faster 2.4Ghz connection to my legacy device compared to mifis 2.4Ghz at home 2) able to use lan for my PCs to asus router, and getting gigabit lan throughput to local networks seamlessly. 3) 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz dualband connection at the same time! (that TP link can only select 1 band at one time)
Cons: 1) power usage 2) cable looks a bit distracting but manageable

VoLTE need hardware + software + config/setting to make it work. If you phone is supported but not able to connect it, it means the modem file is not there.
There is a mbn file inside the system:
either /system/etc/customization/modem/ or /system/etc/firmware/ or /system/rfs/apq/gnss/readonly/firmware/image/modem_pr/mcfg/configs/mcfg_sw/generic/sea/
If you see something XXX_DIGI_XXXX.mbn, congrats your device is supported.

I already said only supported phone can support Volte. That's why I said flashing Volte to e5186 does not mean Volte can be supported by DiGi. This post has been edited by gogo2: Aug 8 2017, 12:12 PM

Means the hardware/phone maker need to ask DiGi what is the configuration and then put into their firmware during upgrade. Very specific support needed.
