LoL..takkan streaming popular sites like youtube,netflix,iflix capped to 1.5Mbps?hardly can get 720p, more like 480p only..this fast.com is Netflix server right?hurmmm Digi adopting U-mobile tactic meh? For those who expert with VPN to bypass the p2p throttled speed, just curious do you guys facing the facing issue like me ?

If I turn off the VPN and perform the speed test, I can get around 10-15Mbps for download & upload. However, when the VPN is on, the speed will be only around 2-4Mbps for download & upload.

The only reason why I turn on the VPN now is because I want to download the torrent movie file. By right if I getting full speed, the file download per second should be around 1-2mb per second, but now only 200-600kb per second.. but still, better than if I turn off the VPN, which will be capped at 1-5kbps...

I am using FinchVPN Premium by the way... per month is $ 3.86 USD
For free version the quota will be 3GB usage per month with limited countries selection..

I upgraded the firmware using Blacktubi's method (Thanks!) to Tele2 version.

Everything is working good except telephone. Now telephone no sound no dial tone after upgraded.

Any other users here using Tele2 firmware facing the same issue?

No, it cannot perform B3 + B7 LTE carrier aggregation which is what we use over here in Malaysia.

Vpn is an protective measure. It protect privacy and allow us to bypass some restriction because our identity is protected so isp cannot block us.
Like all protective measure in the world, it means an additional layer between you and your subjects. You won't get100% of what it suppose to be. Some vpn can be faster but you never get 100%.
Think our head with helmet, our hand with glove, our foot with socks...

For the sake of trying, I will pop into my iPad today. However, my speed is not throttled in router.

I read somewhere that Tele2 firmware doesn't support phone calls, need others to validate.
I'm using Tele2 but not its firmware and I don't have a phone to try out now.

RM 590 for 61a variant is not worth at all. Better get B310 which is about the same as 61s in a way... You can only get 4G here and not 4G+ with 61a.

actually sometime vpn is faster than ur normal speed, and you are experiencing it.
ur torrent even at 200kbps is Faster than without vpn right?
video streaming geo-lock content is possible and is faster too because cant stream at all if without vpn.
thats Faster's explanation in sense of vpn, since a lot of the vpn service advertise you can get faster speed etc...

if you use VPN, the max speed is according to VPN server speed, but the pro is they can hide what you are doing eg. torrent or porn website etc
