Ditch XP a long time ago due to numerous problems ( spyware especially and browser hijack ). Went to Linux route ( Fedora ) since it's safer for I used the PC mostly for Internet and torrent. Due to strict Fedora policy of not supporting non opened source programs, which make it problematic for me to source certain programs, went to Vista and never look back.

Currently running Ultimate 64 bit on my Athlon 64 2800+ with 1 Gb ram. Performance wise is the same if not better from XP. For me it's not Vista problems. It's actually up to individual programs, drivers or utilities installed. Some of those will never see the light of day getting updated. It's up to individual companies. I've got few peripherals with no updated drivers...APC Back Up 650, Logitech MX 700, Deskjet 5652 ( this one doesn't duplex print properly...had to use 990c printer drivers ).

My point is to do some research. Vista was made to take advantage of current and future technologies which lack support on XP. Multiple core cpus, bigger harddisk, HDCP, high defination digital contents, Blu-ray, hd-dvds and others. Heck if it was not for SP2 which took resources out of Microsoft from Vista, we might even got ourselves a new filesystem called WinFS.

dun worry the WinFS will be not their way durin 2011 ..where another os will be launced by MS ..as claimed ..lol ..they did had WinFS for vista but decided to ditch it since other makers are not yet ready ...

Why it crash using classic? is it due to driver problem? I encounter the same problem using classic and VLC media player.

For the previous version of MPC, if u open it, it will disable the window aero function, but the latest verion have already fixed this problem.
So, i also want to know how is there any problems will be encountered when using MPC.

Anyone has problems running the memory benchmark in Sisoft Sandra (latest SP2, May 1st, 2007 release) under Vista Ultimate ? Everything else runs except that. I get insufficient memory errors. I've got 2GB of memory (and another 2GB set automatically by Vista for the pagefile) and have UAC disabled.

in my school vista launched, thr got a O2Jam competition, and who win it will get the ultimate version, and the rest will only get the Business edition, some more is burned 1.

it is all burned data coz ..the most ori genuine is the cd key .. microsoft did that coz some ppl juz wanna sell off the package for quick bucks ..lol..

ehh guys, i wonder wheter u all dvd vista was bootable if there is another OS such XP Pro installed in drive C: ??
