I saw a sugar glider for sale at PW..it was sleepin on beddings. will it be orite if they only put beddings (those for hamsters) for the sugar glider?
*
Well, it is not advisable... coz they are not hamsters or rodents.... a glider should be sleeping in a hide box or in a pouch, never on the floor of a cage but petshops do not care, as long can sell is enough for them.

Shurie loves hiding in my pile of shirts while Chika (CFP's suggie) loves hiding in his VCD player. xD

VCR LAA . VCD soo small. how chika gonna squeeze inside that ? now edi throw out the VCR. dangerous.

@sense_less143 : better find quickly .. when aiko first escape from cage for just 5 minutes, i goes crazy. look for her everywhere. lucky found he sleeping in my clothes drawer.

better bond with wasabi first. i keep chika in the pouch for 2 months + .. then i hv the nerve to let him roam around the room.

@babymiki : which PW izzit ? ikano ?

it looks like i better let him heal by himself. i don't wanna risk losing him. he seems to be much better after taking the medicine the vet gave. just now when i was giving him his medicine he return to normal where he climb here ,climb there as usual. i'll try to get some better pictures later.

Anyway, your glider is missing? Try to look into tight dark spots that the fella might have gone into. Hope it's not like Miko, climbed my room and tried to come in through the upstairs window. lol

Had you done your research on how to take care of Sugar gliders? What they need properly, what kind of commitment you need to give them? What kind of food they eat, their behavior, their maintenance budget, cage size, whats the difference between male and female behavior and biological characteristics like smell, size How to bond with a glider? How long does it take for a joey to be independent after out of pouch.....etc, you name it.

After this only consider whether you wanna buy him or not.

No offence bro, if you wanna take in such a adorable creature i believe you wanna give it the best right? taking in a sugar glider is like taking care a 3 year old kid. if young joeys then like taking care a baby. heh...
Anyway, good luck on your research and have fun.

Cheers biggrin.gif

The prices has gone up lah.... Rm300 is normal. As for age... if you have done your research, you would know what age to tame them and at what age to get them.....

I second what crazy mouse said. If you as you claim HAD REALLY DID THOSE, you dont have to ask here. tongue.gif

Be prepared on your own man, its your own choice to take them, and its YOUR sole responsibility on them. If anything happens last minute and it is really an emergency on your pet, you wish you can handle it or post here and waiting for people to reply? and worse, what if everyone didn't online here that time?

Work out man, be a responsible owner.

Why did you let your glider roam without firstly developing a close bond with it? You should not let a glider out that is still not bonded to you yet. Sometimes they won't come out at all.... you better find Wasabi soon. Joeys cannot stand long without water and food.... they become dehydrated very fast.

First, I shud say that I found him, safe and sound. He was curled inside my jewelry box! I didnt even think he can fit inside there, but there you go ^^

Alright, noted, I shouldnt have let him roam on his own, but I dont have a big cage for him yet (still kumpul money to buy), and I feel sorry for him to be in a small cage (size like the average hamster cage). I've been letting him out at night and in the mornings he always go back to his pouch, so I didnt think much of it.

I will be more careful, I promise!

Well, only let out when you are around.... monitor closely coz Wasabi is still not bonded. I didn't let my glider out freely for 1 month after I got her.... always inside the pouch or perched on me. So just be careful.

Hahaha... it's ok... luckily I belum tidur.

Bald spot can't reduce lah, natural for male gliders mah.
