Anyone know if it's possible to use phone sim on broadband device? Yes mobile no got very attractive package of rm 30 for 20 gb but for Android only
But broadband package is rm 65 for 25 gb only .
Do will those quota and hotspot bypass things work?
Was thinking if there's a way to bypass this..

Im staying in cyber height villa and the internet is unbearable even though its fiber.

Its high time i change to Maxis, i really want TIME but got no coverage in my place.

i cant use internet when packets are dropping so frequent, its like restarting every 10 mins. Is anyone else also experiencing this horrible quality with Cyberjaya Broadband ?

Can confirm. Using this in centrus soho, keep getting packet loss for no reason and intermittent downtime from 30 mins to 4 hours. Very2 irritating. Trying to change to time, but no coverage. Lucky im leaving this place soon.

Yea heliozguard Do not ever subscribe to Cyberjaya Broadband, you will get intermittent connection from the source nothing to do with your router and they will say we promise you 30 or 100 MBps which is true but what is the point if the packet keeps dropping every 5 minutes and i have to wait for it to reconnect. I guess we either wait for TM/Maxis to lay fiber in CHV or just wait for TIME which will do a better job. I will go for the latter as they are already in surrounding condos.

Anyone know can we file a complaint to mcmc or some other departments regarding the frequent downtime of city broadband?

If you're using this ISP you're almost likely to be able to switch to other new upcoming isps on your open fibre network built by TNB.

Consider switching to DiGi Home Fibre or Celcom Home Fibre.

I am looking forward to this. But so far only 2 operators that is being leased by TNB. No news yet on digi or celcom.

Hi all,

I just subscribed to city broadband due to it is the only available ISP in my location ranting.gif , it seems they are using Calix router(all-in-one).

I am planning to purchase a better router this week. How do i set Calix to be an ONU only? Just turn all every features(wifi, firewall, etc.) ? Do i just use DHCP on new router to get IP from Calix?

Anyone has similar experience on setting up a new router, with Calix as ONU?

Just turn off your wifi, better to put the router in static address settings. easier to manage.
it is easy. i used Calix ONU + Asus wifi Router
