How many investigation quests I should farm from HR49 kirin before proceed?

Usually you just need to get 1 additional tempered kirin quest and you can proceed.

Tested multiple hbg today and settled with power shooter 2 bone tree hbg. The best among all of them for normal shot 3 with 5 shots. Can use elementless gem too. Even better than diablos hbg and it also have 3 shots slicing. Dmg wise, it surpass kadachi lion 3 and only fall a bit from diablo tree. Having 3 slot of augmentations, it will probably surpass diablo hbg for normal shot.

Found 3 but 2 is for lance/lancegun
The other one is range but maybe due to it being a warrior type instead of hero, i cant use it for rank 8 weapon.
One of my rank 6 hbg can use it though. Not sure about rank 7.

Anybody got tips for hr100 quest, the sapphire stars guidance? 3 tempered elders in 50 minutes is really pushing it lol. Also solo or sos?

Managed to complete the tempered Kirin quest at first try, solo

Was a SA close range melee bro, one of the worst way to fight a tempered Kirin IMO
was having so much problem killing the HR Kirin already, carted lots of time
and most of the other HR/tempered fights was at the receiving end as well

So I switched to LBG for a change, it really felt like easy mode of MH

3 x Kirin piece, and L3 Lighting resistance + Thunderproof mantle
taking it slow & steady, cheap shot him with slicing shot, while laying wyvern blast in front waiting for him to charge me & boom!

I think I spend almost 100 slicing shot, went back to camp twice to restock

Ikr. Even faster with tobi / bone hbg slicing. And sleep bomb and paralyze snipe.

gunlance with uragaan set, confirm can block any shit in this game lol.

Good for solo play, not so much in a team unless all melee haha

I actually posted the quest. I don't really like the way the game is designed, force you to go online from the moment you load you're character. It's actually quite troublesome to set the number of players to 1 during quest selection every time. Usually I just press "O" all the way. Offline should be the default mode. Solo until you cannot solo anymore, then go online and send SOS.

depends. uragaan set got a skill called "Guard Up" meaning u can block any unblock-able attacks.

To fight with nergy, you won't need that as all nergy's attack all are block-able, the problem is that it's attack is all high in damage.

I tried to differentiate "Guard Up" and "Guard".

I equipped "Guard Up" skill only. I was guarding nergy's divebomb, and i barely survived. I was guarding nergy's crush blow with 1 quarter of my hp. I died.

I equipped "Guard" skill lvl 4 only. I was guarding nergy's divebomb. My hp reduce only less than 1%. I was guarding nergy's crush blow, also the same.

This is also to prove that all nergy's attack is block-able. Then what is unblock-able?

Val Hazak's gas blast and laser gas blast. I was able to guard using "Guard Up" skill, but not with "Guard" skill. The same goes for Teostra's supernova and Xeno's laser blast.

U guys will probably ask why don't u equip both skill? well, it depends on whether u need both of the skills to fight that monster. For example since i know i'm fighting nergy, i can replace my guard up skill with other skill. Since i'm fighting val hazak, maybe i will equip both of them since it has unblock-able attack, but since i already know val hazak normal attack won't do much damage to my high defence armor, i will replace my guard skill with other skill. It really depends on your play style. U want to play safe? equip both skills. Want to be aggressive a bit? equip 1 and replace the other one with attack boost or something.

Just bring whatever healing items you can if you're not confident. Your biggest concern is survival, not time. Multi-monster quests monsters have less hp so you definitely will have enough time to clear it. Personally I'd rather solo that quest since that won't cause the multiplayer multipliers to kick in.

I got it from a low rank Kirin, I think it's an optional quest.
Definitely not high rank Kirin, as I've not progress that far into story at that time yet.

make sure you complete all of the optional LR capture quest, only then it will unlock the final 5 stars quest to hunt a Kirin
only then you'll get the thunderproof mantle
