hunt a few more times, you'll start to be able to predict his moves
then it will be a walk in the park

also prevent him to go back his lair to sleep, most of the casualties happens there
flash him or shoot him with dragon pod when he's limping back, high chance you'll provoke him to return to attack you

also when he's at the big area with crystal overhangs, shoot those crystal down when he's below for free massive 1K damages

use stone also can shoot down?

omg i didnt know that, i use that crystal to mount on him.

shoot those on the ceiling, not the one on the floor

there's one right above him when he's just arrived at the new area, center area
shoot down the crystal first before attack him, he'll be stunned for a few free hits as well

Solo or with team? Nerg with team is a bit unpredictable on the agro. In multi, when nerg look at you, be ready for roll. Destroy the spike when its going black before nerg do sup dive. Always have flashbang. Solo is easier, more predictable. If sos mod, stick under him for melee and always on the move with ranged. Easier mod, play lance. Then again, while playing alone with your trusty palico is easier, if you like challenge, play PuG. Keeping yourself and teammate alive is the real challenge.

In other note, Tempered Teo in multi is crazier with random agro and with ranged, you need to headshot him for dmg. I really don't like him when using lbg or hbg

Another note, the best way to master a weapon is trial by fire. Don't know how to use certain weapon? go to training area, learn the move then go straight to hr black diablos fight. You will learn faster.

SoS flare and team mate keep dying I am using Great Sword. Prefer Great sword playstyle

Hammer main here. Finished the story and now moving to tempered monsters. Planning a balance build of attack and survival with less grinding required.

Armor skills:
Weakness exploit 3
Legiana good luck
Partbreaker 2/slugger 2
Airborne 1
Ice attack 2

Charm: Defense/atk boost, prefer health boost but need to farm rathian ruby. Depending on monster, will probably get element resistance later.

Meal: chef choice for 50hp

Weapon: negri tree. Biggest hit can reach 21X dmg without crit

Is this ok? Coz most players are always about attack XL, agitator and critical.

Also I've checked the armor skills, Capcom really makes you to farm many types and no "true" one fits all for every monster hunt.

Well, don't be bothered with speed runner. If you sure you can dodge every attack, you can go full dps. I have 3 versions of lbg and hbg, full dps, half dps and utility. Even full dps only make a fraction more dmg than half or utility. For example, my current hbg build pretty much have alot of defensive skill and still do insane amount of dmg. Only sacrifice for stun+eblight immune+Xeno divinity, longer evade+ weakness exploit and 200hp is about 20 atk. Diablos hbg pretty much can reach 410+ atk with full dps, but well, 360+ is good enough for constant 60-90 dmg per hit. Full dps, 70- 100+. Not much different anyway. In multiplayer, you being alive is most important.

is there a way to check on how many investigation and quests I done? I remember I check it somewhere but I forget how to trigger the screen.

Oh, if you want to cut tail, hit mob tail till you feel you weaken it enough and throw boomerang to cut it.

I beat it in just 1 try only . Even if two shotted, I can still survive .

Just do what I do, play solo. I use xeno armor + full thunder res jewel + 2x vitality jewel with doom shaft bow as weapon.
Since I can use 2 equip, just keep switching between vit mantle and thunder mantle. Lastly remember to eat meal element resist (L) + max potion (if necessary) and use drug / powder.
