The many moments when I breath a sigh of relief in MHW:)
1. Whetstones are infinite
2. No more need for paint bombs
3. No more crouching animation when gathering plants
4. No more having to stand still when drinking potions / eating steak
5. No more needing to check online all the time for crafting combinations
6. No more needing to check Athena for mixed armour / charms
7. I think we earn more points / zennies per quest
8. The game is much more generous with armor spheres
9. No more desire sensor?

Ermm, paint bombs to track the monsters, but to cut tails? I don't recall that...


Really? I've just done some Rotten Vale quests, about HR10. So far, the game has been quite "generous" with the carves. Not sure about ruby drop rates in HR though. From the way you replied, it's gotta be a pain in the a**?

Was farming Nergi for tail. Managed to cut off Nergi's tail, then someone joined the hunt without me sending SOS. He has LR armor, using DB. Pursued limping Nergi into it's lair. He fainted when Nergi got angry. I prayed he doesn't return but guess what, he came back and fainted again and I failed the quest

I haven't joined any squads yet.



I actually posted the quest. I don't really like the way the game is designed, force you to go online from the moment you load you're character. It's actually quite troublesome to set the number of players to 1 during quest selection every time. Usually I just press "O" all the way. Offline should be the default mode. Solo until you cannot solo anymore, then go online and send SOS.

I don't think you have to do much. They were damaging each other a lot. Just whack them a bit when one or both of them are down. I followed them to a new area twice before one started limping. Trapped and tranqed both. That's it. Don't send SOS ya, just solo. I joined a SOS once, it was a disaster with all the explosive scales lying around the map.

Thanks for inviting me to the squad last night. Managed to hunt once with yangkuo, then duty calls. Sorry if I'm a bit slow coz the online interface a bit confusing. Have to dig out my PS4 mic tonight.
