I have a problem like you describe there on top. there are 200 nests on the 4th floor but there are only a few 5-8 in lower floor. what is BH?
i have another problem with gecko, does gecko kill the bird? how to remove and prevent gecko?
anybody know how to differentiate good quality cd sound? i read at the earlier page that test the sound can attract the swiftlet till near the car. i have bought so many cd's but i don't know whether good or not.

Hi Lbert,

I will try to answer some of your questions with the little knowhow that I think I know and hope all the SIFUs out there are not offended.
1. Problems with the lower floor, you need to have spend some time in the floor to understand what you are missing or lack of. I have explain to you what to look for iin my formal suggestion in this forum and it is for you to find out as I am not saint and I need to be there to know what is wrong. You may solve the problem yourslef or you may find someone with experience there or some good consultant to have a look at the problems.

2, Gecko, large one can attack eggs and chicks so you need to get rid of them. Since Gecko is large and you normally can hunt it down or you may buy some lizard bite or poison to get rid of the Gecko. Someone once suggest using a bottle have halffill with sugar water to attract the Gecko to fall into the bottle and thus getting trap.
3. As for quality sound, this you will have to buy from professional or to get from friends from Swiftlet farming. Good or bad, experience will tell and you don't, ask your friends in the buz. Sound and smell play equal importance in sucessful BH and you have 200 nests and what more do you want cos your BH must be quite new as you don't understand the good sound from the bad.

When you have help them and they will be your friends and will eventually go to your site and look up to you like Sifu. Selling is ok if your products are good. My friend is looking for some good outside CDs and perfumes for his new BH. If you products are good, I will get him to call you personally on the matter. As I told you that my methods are old as me and it never are good for the young rancher who always want immediate result. Birds appear immediately like magic but also disappear like magic, too........ha ha ha just kidding, Mr. Consultants.....just kidding.

Oh yes....I am also want if you are giving Free swiftlet CDs and I will love you for it. Sorry not love but like will be appropriate or otherwise I will be banned from this forum and land myself on lover blog.

i am from indonesia, is the cd sound for swiftlet in malaysia and indonesia not same? i have no idea about sound. and do you know where to buy the "treasure" cd as well? because i think everyone's seem too greedy to share the cd or even sell it. i don't mean to talk others in this member or outside but this is my experience in my hometown.

i have done the farm for 6 years and 7 years. ask consultant as well on 1st year but no improvement. i join this forum in hope can get better result and try to learn more from the experienced one and share as well.

1. 20kilo is from one of my biggest BH and infact, the biggest harvest from that BH that I get was 35 Kilos. I have sold it and from the profits, I bought 3 BHs.
2. At present, I have 4 and maybe 5 soon if everything goes well.

Hello, all sifu, iam new to forum & would like joint u all. i have diy myself a small BH with about 100 birds &30 nests after 15 mths . is it cosider failed? anybody can help me to increase in this .

Hi, 30 nests after 15m........Ok lah and all depend on location and the way you do it. Well, at least you are getting good result althought not really very good. You know alot of new ranchers aren't getting this many nests and some don't even have one. Hey, by the way how do you know how many birds you got? Do you really count the birds flying into your BH and what about the ones you missed? I normally count the nests that I have and determine my improvement in the BH and not by the number of Birds flying in. If the number of birds flying into the BH are flying into the BH are alot more than the nests after some period of time, then we are worried.


Although I m no Sifu but will like only to share experience with fellow swiftlets admirers, yo may improve but getting some aroma or perfume to attract more birds to make nest instate of play play only if you have alot of birds entering......................maybe, consultants in the forum can assist you in buying some of these temptation smell.......................................

3G eye,,,about 1 year ago product .cost about 700+ n many places got sell....just plug in an 019 or 012 sim card than plug into ac plug with the converter tat come toghether.DC power n non wire...once u dail the sim card number with yr 3G phone then u can view the places tat u locate the eye,,also can be adjust up,down ,left n right with yr HP.but make sure tat location got 3G coverage.

In my humble opinion multi channel DVR with infra-red cameras + broadband internet access is more practical than 3G EYE. Personally I'm selling both 3G EYE and DVR with IR cams at my shop for RM750 each. The only good thing is it's fairly easy to set up. Just insert a 3G activated sim card. Owner's 3G mobile phone will have to sms a specific code for authentication. Not all 3G phones can access to the 3G EYE. Only owner's phone and few other numbers that owner allowed and set into the system. The IR lens can be controlled left and right but not up and down. Up and down have to manually set by hand. Note that the 3G signal must be strong enaugh to initiate video calls. The recording memory is limited to size of T-Flash memory card. If only want to install 1 cam then 3G EYE is ok. For those who want to install 4 or more camera channels then DVR is more econimical.
