hahaha.....west wing, i do face the same prob as you..i duno what wrong with the moderator also.....i applied since 3months ago.....recently contact them again, they ask Q to prove we bought that bookk.....HHmmm $$$$.....hahahaha.....after answering all the Q, they say ur account have been activated....but til today, they still show the same thing......

I'm from Johor near melaka border and our farm indeed located at palm oil plantation abt 5km from town. I guess the house condition is okay but may be it is just not good enough as the grow rate of swiftlet is about 6-10% per month for the pass few months.

This is why I was thinking if there are any better techniques to improve the farm house for my case, or I shall only be patient and wait to observe until end of year?

Some of my friends told me to wait the breakthrough of 500 swiftlets and it will grow faster, any comments?

Your membership for which SMC? The old one at Google groups or http://swiftletmclub.12.forumer.com ? Had my membership at the new SMC since 15 Oct 2007. Membership was suspended on 30 Jan 2008 until today because in order to activate membership forum owner request members to email him personal photo. Personally don't think that's necessary so my membership still suspeded. The old SMC still fuction for me but it's already like a ghost cowboy town forum. Too many rules and regulations don't you think? Hey it's the internet. What for so conservative? Why can't it be like KPW Indonesia?

OIC.....the site is for special group of millionaire and I thought millionaire Swiftlet owners only which I M also one lah ha..ha..ha...ha. If the requirements are to buy his books and to attend his seminars, then, then it is not a open blog but a "teacher to students" blog.

Also, if the book is really good, I surely will buy and if the seminars are good, I shall attend as I have make alot from this industry and I surely would want to make more monies. Anyone who has the book or has attended any of the seminars, pls. advice as we are all learning and learning never end. I believe that by sharing one's knowledge on it, one learn more by the feedback and together, we create a better understanding of the wonderful creature that turn nest into gold. Amen and OMITORFOR

how sure r u that the BH condition is okay? but anyhow, for a 6-10% growth rate per month i think is average enough....not too bad though......but since u say that ur BH have been operated for 3year plus with 290 birds and 90 nest, i think its abit below average.....need to work on it.....if possible post up ur BH pic.....hard to giv u idea what to do....

regards to the book, erm......simple n easy to read.....easy to understand and many picture....
about 100 pages....go to the book shop and hav a look....n u will roughly have an idea.....1hr reading should be more than enough.....

It's possible get your SMC membership activated without buying the book or join the seminar. You can do so by email the forum owner himself telling him about your 7 years experience in swiftlet farming. And most importantly your commitment to share your experience and knowledge with everyone. The determination of posting articles. By few posts a day you'll become top 10 or top 5 poster in no time. There are 251 people registered in the forum so far. How many got activated? I estimated less than 30 or maybe less than 20. Since it stated only active participated members will get activated so only 26 members posted more than 5 times. Only 18 members got 10 posts or more so how many posts consider active member? Anyway my estimated of activated members very few only. I got 2 posts also not duck egg. More than 200 people zero post. Well how am I going to post more if my membership not activated?

Hi, Brother SeeSang , address me, brother lah, well, as one famous lawyer once said, I may look old, sound old but old definitely not me as I feel young.......how about sweet 50+ sound to you; young if you know that I am going to live to a hundred or so by taking birdnest everyday, FOC of course from our own BHs.

Kelvin Heng gave me empty promises as well. I stop trusting him a long time ago. I think in this line, trust is more important than anything else so i moved on and buy my stuff elsewhere.

trust and services is the most important product we need to sell to make business successful these day...

Beware, new BH owners, don't use light in you BH or else you lose the few birds you have in your BH like my friend.
Facts:
1. Swiftlets are drawn to light because light draw insects to it and who does want easy supper.
2. Swftlets can see better than they can hear but they are safer in darkness because they have the ability to fly in total darkness but not their predators.

Real Story:
A new BH owner of a few months informed me that that during the night, he switch on the light and saw alot of birds entering his BH. But recently, he saw no more bird flying when he switched on the light and ask me why?

My Answer: The birds he saw were from his BH and not from outside and they are flying because of the light and the light drawn some insects. The Birds feel unsafe because of the light so they moved to a dark safer BH and possible mine.

For old BHs like mine, no problems light or no light, the birds are here to stay.....but I still perfer trusted dark BHs.

I still like you alot and think you are a nice person after meeting only one time long ago...............but maybe, you are very busy and maybe you take too many project that you forget some promises or appointments or others. Well, the BH condition like room temperature is around 28-29c and humidity around 90% at 2pm. Brightness conditoin is dark at ground and 1st floor but 2nd floor is brighter due to the DK entrance hole. The best part is 2nd floor has almost 50-60% of the total nests and seem like those birds like top floor with more light? I'm thinking may be those birds in my area prefer more light floor and feel safer?

I dun have any photo with me now else will send to you. BTW, any comments if I will to try to apply the CS mating potion which apply on wall? Do you think it will help and will it affect existing birds?

room temperature and humidity shld be fine i think......birds like 2nd floor with more light?? not realli sure....but for wat i know....normally new birds would probably stay on the top floor 1st then slowly they will move to lower floor once they like ur BH.....but since u say that ur BH hav been operated for more than 3 years but stil 50-60% bird operating the top floor, i think there shld be some prob.....n might be normal though......totally jus from my point of view and idea (might be right,might be wrong).....is ur lower floor have the same environment with the top floor? or mayb your Bird call sound did not manage to pull ur current bird to the lower floor? mayb ur tweeter not functioning??? check it out......regards to the mating potion, i have not much idea on it....mayb someone used it before can giv u some idea, as i myself do not apply those potion in my BH....

Pls do share if someone out there can giv some comment.....My comment are totally jus my point of view and idea and thing that i learn from....different sifu different idea.....

From my humble point of view, if your lower floor attract lesser birds, you have some problem with the lower floor because bird tend to like lower floor cause the temperature is more stable and never too extreme. Initial few nest maybe on the upper floor because it is brighter and feel safer due to new surrounding but gradually, they will go down to be safer as darkness is to their advantage. Yes, they play in the top floor and who doesn't, what fun to play in the dark unless you are playing hide and seek, Ha Ha Ha

Nine months ago, I have a option to buy one of 2 BHs and one having 80+ nest on the lower floor and 10 on the upper floor and the other, having 4 in the lower floor and 50+ in the upper floor. I choose the one with 4 in the lower floor although the BH is the same price because I have the confidence that I will be able to make the lower floor better than the top floor when I solve the problem and the other BH is normal in to my belief. Guess what, I am lucky, after 6 months, I have 100+ in the upper floor and 600+ in the lower floor. Am I lucky, Am I lucky and I must be lucky.

Nothing to do with the lighting, maybe the entrance, temperature or humidity or smell problem. Check them out and I maybe wrong and I am still learning to be better and better by trial and error and to learn from you all each time I go on internet . Hopefully, those with good results will share their knowhows and experiences.
