the disc for GWS-12v, is very pricey.. wish it could be cheaper..

yes, i got 1 pack of 5 for rm 23 using 29kaw voucher. so i sapu 3 packs.

going to limit usage of this grinder for specific use only. pricey is one thing, stock availability is another. this is unlike normal discs where if you run out, you can just go to any hardware store and grab a few pcs.

the arbor size is a weird 10mm.

GWS 10.8V-76 is worth every ringgit paid. Cut short my work time by 4 hours!

verdict: the name is misleading. it's a cutting tool, not an angle grinder. to make up for the lack of torque, it is given very high speed (19,500rpm). so you have to genly work your way into the bolt

can cut an m16 bolt easily. i expected the 76mm disc to be used up for 2 bolts, but after severa; bolts, i can see only 3 - 5mm of the disc were shaved off. battery consumption is massive. 1ah batt wont be a good choice. 2 bolts and you exhaust the battery

verdict? this will be my favorite metal cutting tool liao. GWS18v-Li can take a backseat.

Done before such case. Not exactly same.

We just use cutting torch. Use some metal sheet to protect those copper and surrounding. Than just melt it off the bolt.

Found a seller in china selling 3D printed Makita and bosch battery mounting.
Not that as cheap as I wanted tho.
That makita to ryobi adapter might be good, hmm...
Then I can play ryobi toys without getting another set of batt and chargers. Workroom lack of space to hang more chargers.

why buy the 12v 2.0ah battery? should have get the 12v 4.0ah battery, it give some extra juice and ummph to the 12v range...i recently bought the 12v 4.0ah batt for rm180.

i like the 12v 4.0ah battery because if use with drill, it can make it stand just like those 18v...and when using it with the 12v vacuum, it perform better than those 2.0ah batt...

the 12v grinder is actually a cutter not really a grinder....it outperform his 18v brother when come to cutting task...
sorry my bad....yes it's rm1 pwp...     this is only main reason i went there.

yes, i agree. it should be renamed as angle-cutter

outperforms? it doesnt have enough torque. it's more like a big sized dremel tool, with its high rpm

at least, that's what it is in my personal opinion
