wah, now migrate to Makita cordless d?  brows.gif
*
Bosch's 18V circular saw too expensive.
Makita has many other interesting tools like grass cutter, fan, even a cordless trim router(future).

So I think using 2 system to have more flexibility of tools.

Bosch GKS 18VLi costs rm900+, Makita's circular saw costs rm600.
Bosch GST 18V costs rm1300+, Makita 18v jigsaw costs rm800.
Bosch's drill generally are cheaper than Makita tho...

Makita has more "toys" to play with, the price difference already enough justification to cover another battery set.

Also, seems like Makita & Bosch is same grade of tool quality?

Maybe... maybe you can rent out your workshop smile.gif thinking to build my own retro arcade machine.

If I live in corner lot and workshop is build beside the house I can consider this.
But the workshop is right inside the house so its not convenient. tongue.gif

TBH this year I don't see any high value general use voucher from lazada anymore.
That Rm50/60 shopee bosch voucher is the one that consider as high value but with those markup now...

Actually is higher markup or the cost of new stock become higher?

ya, got makita salesman inside here hiding

you guys all keep saying wanna jump wagon to makita cos price cheaper than bosch

so... LOL
*
No need to jump ship lar, both company has some their advantages in diff area.
Now with Dewalt coming in, its going to get even more interesting.
Dewalt can give Makita a good fight on woodworking tool category.

QUOTE(Richard @ Jun 4 2017, 04:55 AM)
guys,

I need to buy a drill to make a 75mm dia hole through a double brick wall..

I only have a Bosch 550 GRE.. What else do I need to buy ? and where?
Hardware masonery bits only make small holes..

I am looking to buy online or can anyone sell a spare 75mm dia hole maker to me?
*
Double brick wall is about 25cm thick?
You need to buy those very long mansory drill bit to drill many small holes in a circle then slowly chisel it out.
I dug a 150mm hole on my house wall for ventilation that way.

PS: I use rotary hammer, not just drill.

yes 10" to 12" thick..

I was thinking there was a masonry hole cut for that size..

Seems that's the way to do it..

Thank you..
*
10 to 12" thick, I don't think your current drill can handle it. devil.gif

There is another brand that make many interesting 18v tools.
RYOBI, and I'm surprise its a japanese brand.
Their target market is home DIY thus the cheap price and battery format that never change for 20 years.
Many used ryobi tool available in taobao brows.gif

Learn to compare price among different seller, if its too cheap for new item then probably its a fake. Also buy from long time shop with many feedbacks.
For used item the price can really varies a lot tho so depend on your luck lor.

I won't get branded thing from China. It actually not cheap given the China tax heavy on import item.

What you see the brand thing cheap in china is the china version which made in china.

This is to avoid the import tax and make it cheaper for the china market. The item might not similar to the outside market.

I have experience where try to get a support from japan the item. Cause there is no english version. Mana tahu it is only for china. And worst, it is a display monitor which is only chinese language.

Taobao can be an awesome place to source for items if you know Chinese.
For electronics the interface and user manual can be a big problem.

Saw this Worx hydroshot spray. Seems useful for light duty cleaning of window/car/car posh without dragging out the pressure washer.
Not too powerful till strip paint off.
Another thing that Malaysia market don't have. dry.gif

A bit expensive side. RM540 + delivery...maybe ~RM700. Wait for Amazon sale.

Maybe I just drag out my karcher pressure washer and permanently put at outdoor. That reduce abit of my laziness. biggrin.gif
