You probably just have to make a table saw to put your Dewalt. Instead of using the fence that came with the saw, you can clamp a straight piece of plank or a strip of straight plywood as a fence. However, this would be a project within your current project  laugh.gif

The easiest and fastest way is to have another a small table or saw horse. Put another board or another piece of 1/2 inch plywood to form a big table. You can then clamp a straight wood or metal on the far end as fence.

Another simpler option is to just use a circular saw. It is not difficult to cut straight piece. Refer here:

https://build-basic.com/build-a-diy-cutting-fence

I do use circular saw to cut to smaller pieces.. The cut is not that great compare to my table saw.

After watching the video, I think i can do that.

I send my DeWalt table saw for warranty. I have try and try to horizontal my blade and no go. the alignment screw already max out. it say I'm the 2nd customer facing this issue.

The shop call up DeWalt and have 1 to 1 replacement. later I try to tune up my saw again and hope I got a workable cut.

This DeWalt model really has some alignment issue but is a Jobsite saw their precision is limited to what we pay for.

For laminates I believe they are rough sawn then finished off with router bit (trimmer), no?

Just look for blade for melamine. Generally the more teeth the smother. This shows how it looks like. Look at the teeth diagram shape.

https://www.toolstoday.com/double-face-mela...es.html#options

Many guide on youtube or article on cutting. Different person has different approach. I think this is good guide for handling chip board. I just provide link here.

An article on technique use:

Just brought a Proskit cordless Mini grinder. Not a powertools but mini tools. Run on lithium battery. Charge with USB.

I alway look for a small handy grinder for grinding small part. Lazy to takeout the Dremel for short time job. Saw this in a electronic shop and straight away brought it.

Cost RM95 without gst. You can get it at shopee for RM95.

It is not that powerfull. The torque is like you can stop it by hand. But it enough to do some small job. It have a safety protection where it will shut off if force the motor stop. 3 speed to select 5000, 10,000/ 15,000. The collet can just tight by hand. Have a run time about 1hr. All the Dremel tools can be use on it as the collet diameter is Ø3.2 and Ø2.4. Very light only 90g.

user posted image

Come with the grinder, usb cord and some grinding/sanding/brush tools.

user posted image

Thought want to modify it to get a better torque and longer running time by swap out the battery. But the battery too small and probably the torque is limit by the board.

Not high torque enough for circulars cutter.

Advise get the slim cordless dremel.

I want to drill a hole through my masonry wall..
Length/depth is about 20cm...
The hole should be big enough for 16/20mm pvc conduit..

I have hammer drill...which drill bit should I use?
Or have to buy rotary hammer, or any other suggestions?

If it is just normal bricked wall, the hammer drill will do. It will take a bit more effort. Just need to buy long drill bit. However, it is not a small diameter biggrin.gif

When I did not own a rotary hammer last time, I only managed to find long drill bit (10mm I guess) but it was an SDS type. Hammer drill normally use traditional chuck. So, I have to cut a bit the chuck end so that the chuck can grip properly on the round part laugh.gif

I used it for quite a while and drilled many holes with it. Now I have a hammer drill but have yet to do anything drilling like that yet laugh.gif

BTW... my hammer drill was a 750W

I think the challenge is to get a 22mm bit in round shank (mostly this size 20mm+ will be SDS+) as impact drills won't be able to effectively drill >13mm dia.

22mm hole + 20cm depth sounds like you will need the masonry bit [https://shopee.com.my/BOSCH-SDS-Plus-5X-Masonry-Hammer-Drill-Bit-(22mm-x-200mm-x-250mm)-2608836644-i.1057873.1560631522] rather than core cutter as it's pretty deep. Best used with SDS+ rotary hammer.

If it's just one-off usage don't need to buy, just rent the rotary hammer (min 1 week) - https://www.12rent.my/pd-rental-bosch-gbh-2...s-plus-790w.cfm

For me I bought a rotary hammer (2-24 bosch) coz I stay in a place which has lots of RC concrete walls, normal drill would take too long to drill whereas a rotary hammer cuts through within 1-2 seconds for 6mm hole.

1) If you want to do one time, then why not just get a contractor to do it for less than a hundred.

2) if you want to have one handy around the house, no need to get the cordless one.

3) If cordless a must but semi-pro, I'd not go for Bosch. Only 6 month warranty for pro version? I'd rather go for semi-pro Stanley Stanley with 2 years warranty like

https://shopee.com.my/STANLEY-SBR20M2K-18V-...0870.2463142657

P.S. No offense to Bosch fan console.gif laugh.gif

Your choice. I also don't like contractor work. Most normally want jobs done quickly as possible hack here and there and make bigger hole than required and then plaster with white plaster laugh.gif

Unless very major stuff, minor one like kitchen ducting, electrical wiring, or anything similar level, I did it myself. More satisfying.

Have a nice DIY thumbsup.gif
