Maybe it has something to do with changing to Private IP? or not.

Has a new stable firmware been issued for Deco M4?
You're not gonna get one
That's TP-Link business strategy. Sell and forget. 1 year or 2 after the product is launched, they wouldn't bother releasing any firmware updates at all

They've been doing that since the beginning. You want firmware updates? Switch to ASUS whistling.gif

Are you using Unifi 100Mbps? If that’s the case then TM might switched your account to private IP which means you no longer have direct access.

The app still works as it is linked to TP-Link secure cloud relay function with your account.

I am bumping up this issue.

Has a new stable firmware been issued for Deco M4?

Equipment:
3-pack DECO M4R (US) Ver. 2.0
Firmware upgraded to: 1.5.0 Build 20210511 Rel. 34580
Date purchased: 6th June 2021

TP-Link released a beta firmware that fixed this issue quite some time ago, have you tried it?

Not sure whether they added it to public release but I’ve updated this firmware for a family previously and it works fine.

As it was beta, I did not try it and opted to wait for the release version.

Yes, i'm using Unifi 100Mbps. Ohhh so this is the recent changes Unifi made for 100mbps and below user . I don't realize these changes impact me. Now i cannot access AX73 Tplinkdns.com, and at the same time I also cannot access my Synology NAS remotely. Is there any workaround other than upgrade to higher speed than 100Mbps?

You can try to request TM to change to Public IP (If allow)

or

upgrade existing speed to 300mbps RM159 (only valid via100 and select the fourth option regarding plans and promotions)

or

Switch to Maxis Fiber.

As "loyal" users of TP-Link for 8 years, I can totally agree with your statement.

Choose Asus, the higher price is worth it.

Tri band models comes with dedicated wireless backhaul that will not occupy bandwidth with the main 5ghz band.

Without dedicated wireless backhaul (on dual band models like m4 and m5), the speed WILL reduce by about half from the secondary or satellite deco node due to the way Wifi works. For instance, on 300mbps, the main deco will reach full speed, but the satellite will be about 100-150mbps wireless speed in real life.

X60 is also dual band model, but the AX3000 class is still barely acceptable for 300mbps wireless backhaul setup because the raw speed is higher to offset the speed reduction.

Check out the review by BlackTubi X60 review
*
Based on the BlackTubi X60 review (He also did tests using X20, M9 Plus and M5), there is considerable speed drops on the satellite deco node.
Results below:

X60 = 57% speed drop
M9 Plus = 53% speed drop
x20 = 66% speed drop
m5 = 65% speed drop

Yes, the tri band M9 Plus shows less speed drop compared to the dual bands, but not by that much! sweat.gif

I have yet to see a dual-band mesh WiFi that can provide more than 400Mbps on the mesh node reliably and I don’t think they will ever exist.

Tri-Band is the way to go for mesh WiFi in the future.

WiFi 6E only benefit is the use of 6Ghz bands and the rest will be more or less the same.

WiFi 6E routers will be Tri-Band as 6Ghz is not backwards compatible.

6Ghz will offer very significant speed boost as there are more bandwidth and less congestion.

Recently my Archer AX50 has been disconnecting on and off. I cannot for the life of me find out whats causing it.

I dont know if its similar for both 2.4ghz & 5ghz as i alternate between both on my phone automatically. but my laptop on 5ghz is definitely affected.

5ghz already changed to 80mhz, channel auto.

iptv is enabled (not using at all disable means no internet but igmp v3)

ipv6 pppoe enabled. (disabling it means cannot connect to unifi network)

firmware latest.

the system log is not very helpful as everytime it disconnects and i login the log itself disappears and start with 2020 date of events that happen after reboot.

can anyone point me to right direction?

Is it overheating? Add a fan to cool it down.

So are you still using VDSL or fibre?

If you use Fibre, do you have an all-in-one modem?
