May I know if stock Time router TPLink AC1200 is good enough if I want to connect to Synology DS218J? I want to use the Synology download manager to download torrent files. Btw I'm using Time 500mbps package. Thanks

Hi all,
My Asus AC68 just died and got my AX73 yesterday. I dont think the features in AX73 can beat AC68 unless u pay for the premium Home SHield Pro subscription which is crazyly priced. Other than that AX73 is a good router with very good wifi coverage which AC68 lack of.
Btw, i spend hours trying to connect Unifi when only realize I need to set the Unifi profile. But what sadden me is that I can only use just 2 LAN ports for my home devices. Is there any way to enable all 4 ports? What setting do you set initially for this AX73? Do you click and enable the OFDMA & TWT setting?
Thanks

Are you using Unifi 100Mbps? If that’s the case then TM might switched your account to private IP which means you no longer have direct access.

The app still works as it is linked to TP-Link secure cloud relay function with your account.

Yes, i'm using Unifi 100Mbps. Ohhh so this is the recent changes Unifi made for 100mbps and below user . I don't realize these changes impact me. Now i cannot access AX73 Tplinkdns.com, and at the same time I also cannot access my Synology NAS remotely. Is there any workaround other than upgrade to higher speed than 100Mbps?

Can try angling antennas at 30-60 degrees to help out with 1st floor. If that doesn't work will need to go with AP/Mesh options

If i buy another Ax73 and put on 1st floor and set it as Mesh, I can connect to 5Ghz without any problem ? Currently, when I want to send big attachment using Wetransfer, I need to go downstair then only I finish the transfer quickly. If I send from 1st floor, it will be very slow to complete.

this cant be right  , maybe something is wrong. nod.gif

my DS link 24x70  have good AC coverage  on the first floor.  with max 100 mbps  / i am on 100  unifi
you can use wifi Analyser to check signal strength .  -65dbm  at least.

how big is ur house
where did u place the router.

Hi my house also 24x70. I place my router at Living area inside tv cabinet. There is no other area that I can relocate the router other than living hall because of Unifi installer make the cable end at the living hall area. At 1st floor, can use 5Ghz near the staircase only, Inside master bedroom can only use 2.4Ghz. Reason I bought this router because many reviewer said this router is suitable for very large home. But I think my house is not that large and not even bunglow. I have not tested any wifi analyzer yet. Will try download in Appstore. Any good one to recommend?
