C7 is okay, but you can't set VPN in this router. You need at least the C2300 to setup VPN. If you are using VoIP from Maxis, you will need to bridge the Maxis router to use VoIP.

Ah, okay, I got you. It is possible then, but in terms of stability, not too sure if that will be stable or not.

Thanks.
How about C7 or C9? Which 1 is better? I read through posts mostly recommend C7 V4 and C9 hardware is old.
But if i read review, seem like C9 have better hardware and signal confused.gif

The Archer C9 performs significantly better than C7 in testing and real world performance. wink.gif

Of course, I am a huge fan of the C3150 due to the superb performance.

Only V2 is available in the market now. The easy way to distinguish between 2 is the logo. V2 come with the new TP-Link logo.

currently thinking of getting a c7 + re450 (range extender) but came across c3150 and pricing is quite similar.

My main concern is range for 5ghz.

Will i be better of getting a c7+re450 or a c3150 is good enough.

btw staying at a 2 storey landed property.

I would highly recommend the C3150 as having an extender on the network will limit the throughput of the network. Get the C3150 as it’s coverage is superb, even for 5GHz. You won’t regret your purchase. Don’t bother with switching on the IPv6 though, as it is not optimised right here.

Anyone managed to disable WPS on the Archer C7 V4? I've already disabled it in the settings yet it is still on icon_question.gif

Only consolation is it will lock when you bruteforce it. icon_question.gif

Latest firmware? Update it to the latest firmware, and if it is still happening, just hard reset it, and try again.

Not possible. That router should be quite stable though. Try to hard reset it and set everything up again. If it is still not functioning and out of warranty, would suggest you get a new router.

Nope, warranty 3 years if I am not mistaken. Try to hard reset, and try again. If still can't, send back for RMA.
