Rakuten is a lousy platform. Dont use!

System can crashed. Orders all suspended. Can cause you to miss Bursa opening and closing orders.

Orders can be gone missing due to system error without you realising while trading!

For RakuMargin.....u need to pledge cash... the multiplier is lower than my bank....the margin fees is higher.... i better use my current bank margin account...... only the trading fees is cheaper.

Generally, your trading limit is determined based on the pledged cash and shares. They will each be assigned a multiplier.

For example,

RM10,000 (Cash deposit) : Trading limit of RM22,500 (x2.25 cash)
RM10,000 (shares) : Trading limit of RM12,500 (x1.25 pledged shares)
Note: Example above is based assumption you do not have outstanding balance in RakuMargin account.

For more info please be refer to our FAQ: https://www.rakutentrade.my/faqs/rakumargin...y-trading-limit

My main account is CGS Cimb itrade, which has global trading.

Other than the ability to trade US stocks (I assume so since you mentioned global trading), what are the benefits of CIMB iTrade compared to Rakuten?

What are the trading fees like in the 1k-9.999k and 10-50k tier?

Hey everyone, just being genuinely curious here. So we all know that short-selling has been suspended by Bursa temporarily until April 30th.

I’ve never done a short-sell all my life. I wrongly thought that maybe doing intraday trade without waiting for the T+2 settlement means it’s a short-sell. Just to be sure I remember calling Rakuten Trade to ask if there’s any changes I should be aware of when short-selling was suspended. The person on phone told me RT has never offered any feature to perform short-selling.

Since it seems like a popular phenomenon in Malaysia, so much so that it required a temporary suspension, what are the brokerage platforms that offer such service? Does most banks (like cimb itrade, HLe broking etc) offer this? Or is it something rather rare?

Do note that I’m not interested to do it or encouraging anyone to do it here, just something I’m wondering. Hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks!

Not just US stocks, but SG and HK.

My trading fee is 0.1% for Bursa and a crazy high of 0.42% for foreign.

A few brokers offer it. I know M Securities and CGS Cimb offer it.

If you trade small amount for foreign, its so much cheaper then. For eg: SGD1k *0.42% =$4.2 compare to Fund Supermart Singapore of $10. Is there a minimum fee for foreign transactions?

Hi have few questions to ask sifu
Let say I go in BUY Maybank
We see the 1st best SELL price which is RM7.50, 2nd sell price is RM7.51, and 3rd RM7.52

1) How do we know if there is people selling below RM7.50, let say RM7.3/7.4?

2) what does the volume stands for?
Is it in term of number of lot(100 shares), or just number of share?

3) can we set the buying/selling price using HLeBroking?
Let say when maybank falls until RM7, system auto help me buy X lot
Or the other way round, when maybank up RM8, auto sell X lot

Tq
