QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Mar 30 2020, 11:05 PM) According to the terms and conditions in the Rakumargin agreement, Rakuten does charge a commitment fee for the margin account which is not utilised. that's the thing i worry about.... they do not specify the rates/calculate properly (or i miss it).... i don't mind the 6%+ charges......it's acceptable since no collateral required. but i worry about the hidden charges... like this inactive fees... that's y i hesitate to accept it....But they did not state the interest rate. Assuming 1% per annum on RM100K = RM1000? |

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Apr 2 2020, 05:20 PM) I contacted Raku Ranger yesterday to ask whether a commitment fee is payable for the RakuMargin facility if it is not utilised. The reply which I received was "The interest fees only will be charged on your outstanding transactions at 6.8% per annum". i reviewed the T&C papers again and i still couldn't find any to show how and when and rates that they will charge the Commitment fees..... i also notice the can waive it.... i guess it is not a mandatory fees.... I take this to mean that Rakuten is not charging any commitment fee. Lai, lai, who wants to become the white rat and sign the Letter of Offer? Please inform the forumers here if they start charging you any fees for not using the margin facilities. anyway drawdown must be within 3 months.... else they will cancel the facility... i suppose to let them cancel it rather to charge commitment fees. i have accepted it cos my offer is expiring tomorrow. but i still no plan to use it anytime soon.... i still have balance with other margin accounts. i will cancel it as soon as they charge me commitment fees..... but..... i have no idea how to cancel it..... i can;t find any support number or bot to throw my question. How u manage to communicate with Rakuten? any careline, email, bot chat? "Section 3.18 Commitment Fee If the Facility is not fully utilized by the Client during the Availability Period, the Client shall pay to the Bank a Commitment Fee at the rate specified in Item 7 of the Schedule hereto on the unutilized portion of the Facility calculated on a daily basis and payable in arrears at the end of each month. The Bank reserves the right to waive or vary at any time and from time to time its sole and absolute discretion the rate of the Commitment Fee by giving notice to the Client in writing." |

For RakuMargin.....u need to pledge cash... the multiplier is lower than my bank....the margin fees is higher.... i better use my current bank margin account...... only the trading fees is cheaper.
Generally, your trading limit is determined based on the pledged cash and shares. They will each be assigned a multiplier. For example, RM10,000 (Cash deposit) : Trading limit of RM22,500 (x2.25 cash) RM10,000 (shares) : Trading limit of RM12,500 (x1.25 pledged shares) Note: Example above is based assumption you do not have outstanding balance in RakuMargin account. For more info please be refer to our FAQ: https://www.rakutentrade.my/faqs/rakumargin...y-trading-limit |

I never try withdrawing large amount before (30k and above) no need to fill any forms.... i withdraw 100k before... if i remember correctly daily limit was 30k (about 1 or 2 years ago....i'm not sure about now whether there is still daily withdrawal limit or not... cos i stop using Rakuten for long time already) ..... so 100k took me 4 days.....Kinda worried to keep DCA every month and not knowing about this haha |
