Why anyone want to redirect incoming calls to the new Unifi telephone line or use the new number by redirecting to old line?
Simpler to cut voice 20 from Unifi Lite and sign up Voice 20 on your old fixed line.
The you'd have free calls on your old number like with Streamyx before.

For condo, there is no need to do fibre wiring, so they will use the existing copper telephone line. Just wondering, how fast copper line can support up to?
10MBps? what if I subscribe 30MBps?
And if cannot support too fast, then the line may not stable or not reach 10MBps which is not worth.
any comment?

by theory, vdsl2 can up to 100Mbps, 30mbps will be average unless the highrise is using very bad quality copper.

if the highrise already support 30mbps, 50mbps, then it's sure 10mbps is perfect stable.

i'm not aware homeline have this voice 20, from tm pages, its voice 48.

the reason being is because your current phone number is PSTN based while the one attached to Unifi in VOIP based (although TM never want to admit this) so different platforms requires different systems and both cannot co-exist at the same time. period.

Hi,

May I know how you define VDSL Modem? Is that copper cable, thought all Unifi have to be Fiber cable only?

I remember someone at TM Point offering this to me some time ago.
But... you TM-lah.
Different people, different story.

It would not exist on two systems if the number was ported would it?

it's different from normal ADSL Modem but still using same copper line and using VDSL Splitter. Normal ADSL Model not able to support the new speed.

i have this problem before of very noisy...for my case....it is the connection outside my house already rust/oxidized and so you need to call tm and ask the support to rewire your connection, it should solve the problem...usually i need to do this once a year for my streamyx...first the line disconnect from streamyx...then the voice call also becomes noisy... before finally totally no sound.... smile.gif

How do i check on this? I just got my unifi Lite installed today, the installer actually connect the fibre cable from outside the house port and routed the cable into my home.... so i'm sure it's not using copper line anymore...

so for unifi lite, there's 2 version? fibre and copper both also can use?

No wiring involved for my case.
