Dear all,

Not sure whether this is the correct place to ask.

Annual gross income more than 30K. Works in a MNC company

Tried applied CC with most banks but none was approved. Reasons being might because i dont have any commitment with any banks (loans etc).

Any idea which banks which is more lenient in this kin of issue?

Thanks

Just like you will be putting money in FD with non promotion rate, then they will give you credit card. However it is subject to bank approval. Currently I think PBB and another bank is doing it for pledge FD for CC only. If not mistaken, if you pledge 20k, then your cc limit is 20k.

However, you may try apply for HLB (Mach), or Citi Shell Card. I am using these 2, as my salary is not high enough to qualify for Quantum and Maybank 2 kard.

EPP question:
If EPP on RM3000 item for 24months and my credit limit is RM10000, then it will become RM7000 for 24 months, back to RM10000 again after I settle all the installment.

OR

If my monthly installment is RM300, my credit limit will be increased back slowly by RM300 a month. Like first month my credit limit becomes RM7300, then next month RM7600 and so on.

So which one is it?

2nd scenario

each monthly installment cleared will restore the CL gradually.

Just some questions regarding statement balance.

I have already paid the statement balance but the amount is still shown in the account details section.

I always paid the outstanding balance.

Am i doing it wrong or something?

Statement balance will not change or real time updated only outstanding balance will change.

I did some digging.

As long as the outstanding payment is zero. I do not need to worry about statement balance as i already paid it off so is my understanding is correct?

Kinda dumb that the system implemented online ask you to pay the statement balance when i have already fully paid it...

not dumb.

statement-ed amount never change. it's fixed. it doesn't TELL you to pay, it's just a statement info for the current cycle USAGE. it's just like postpaid mobile bill.

what u truly owe is outstanding amount. it increases or decreases according to spending or payment.

benefit of postpaid-monthly billing is you only need to clear each statement amount, latest by due date. any newer spending after current statement date, will be billed in next statement cycle.

since u cleared all outstanding amount, then it's fine anyway. it doesn't CHANGE the fact of your statement amount, right? what were spent is documented in the statement.

if i apply online for quick cash from credit card , normally how long need to approve and what is the interest rate ?

alternatively, can i go to the ATM, withdraw cash and then deposit it back into CDM ?

reason is i need all the cash i can get my hands on to capitalize on the bitcoin bull run.

bump you here

it's called Cash Advance, and definitely come with certain % rate. check respective card/bank fees.

whether this is a smart move, hope you can decide and weigh the pros-cons, whether it's worth or not.

Hi,

My Citibank Statement date is on tomorrow, ie. 28 November 2017 which is due date is on 17th December 2017. If i swipe on tomorrow morning, will it posted on the same day? My question is, whether this transaction should be settled on 17th December or I can drag until 17th January 2018?

Thanks.

Hey guys, this is quite a newbie question but I just wanted to ask (Don't know if this is the right thread to ask or should I ask in a Maybank credit card thread).

I was shopping in Lelong and I used NetPay for a transaction amount above RM3k. I used a Maybank credit card with MSOS. I did the usual and key in the MSOS code but I receive an email after the purchase.

The title is "Verification on transaction amount above RM3000 - CC APPROVAL CODE Payment for Order ID : ... "

It's asking me to contact my bank for an approval code.

Isn't the approval code the MSOS code or something different?
