Was just wondering, for local banks like (HLB, AM, CIMB etc...), do they automatically permanently increase the credit limit without proof of income, or do you need to walk in to the branch and apply manually and submit supporting documents?
Meanwhile, for foreign bank, I manage to get a few permanent increases without submitting proof of income. |

The keyword is "automatically." You mean the foreign bank that you hold will increase your CL automatically?Meanwhile, for foreign bank, I manage to get a few permanent increases without submitting proof of income. |

Got a point there... not quite automatica, still have to respond to their SMS😅 RM0 UOB: Get higher credit limit up to RM xx with no documents required if your employer is unchanged for the last 24 months & have no non-bank debt. Reply "UM4" by 31Oct25 to apply. By replying, you declare that the above is true and agree to the T&C. Search "ND1" for more info and T&C. |

Search "ND1" for more info and T&C. banks nowadays are very very careful in increasing CL. the risk to the cardholder is higher and potential litigation is also high (eg bank auto-increase CL, user overspent without knowing CL, failed to pay then blame bank for not stopping the transaction/CL too high because auto-increase by bank without consent!) |

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Nov 4 2025, 01:33 PM) Not praying for an auto increase. actually it doesnt matter on the likelihood. what works now may not work later anyway, as policy changes from time to time.I am wondering for local banks, is it likely they will offer you like (UOB) or its more likely you have to walk-in and apply? I have my [insert reasons] to ask for high limit and I am aware the banks have their reasons to give it or otherwise. if you want to increase perm CL, then submit request to increase as normal. banks will need to (re)evaluate your financial health. |

Just to check. Under CCRIS report. I saw "application of credit" for bank muamalat. Does that mean, my CC application is approved? or just the indication of I am applying for the cc?
