any kapchai bike is good enough if want to learn riding, not necessarily have to be ex5.  smile.gif

Yup, plenty to choose from. sweat.gif

Just get the EX5. Won't go wrong with that if you're planning long term. Other bikes are fine too.

Hi all sifu,  I need to buy a bike , as a place holder for number plate I bid, thinking that I might as well start to take up bike license, isit ok to buy ex5 as starting first bike?

Planning to buy and ride around my house field before go and take license, possible? Prefer ex5 or scooter in future.. please advise..
*
Yeah the EX5 is a good choice, cheap , easy to maintain, plenty of parts and VERY easy to ride. The training centres use EX5 for the B2 license training too. I would suggest you to immediately take the undang test and get an "L" license before riding though, the L license can last a year and you can ride outside with it, just cannot take a pillion rider.

Speaking of kapcai, really if you're accustomed to acceleration of a bigger cc then a 90cc bike is an upsetting experience anytime. Give it 135cc so that it can slightly edge a car. Or 125cc two stroker.

I bought demak 90 just to park a plate num and used it to go to work thru kampung road which is not bad but now I got to commute like 6km more to a new site, pushing just to 80kmh on the main road is a huge task or burdening for the bike which maxed at 90kmh barely.

Rule of thumbs going there, dont layan they guy small talk, else you will end up spending entire day there just doing your seat..

However workmanship good.. been doing for my Barley change and reshape the seat and wrap it with leather.. many rain and abuse. still going strong the leather and stiching..

anyone here owns a naza cruise 650 ?
Would like to know how you guys feel on that bike.
Good for long distance ?
Is it acceptable in slow moving traffic like KL or PJ ?
Maintenance fees ?

Guys, I'm in dilemma. I want to upgrade my bike for my work ride 60km daily. Currently using honda kapchai.

Initially I was interested with maxi scooter such as J300/kymco kxct, not too big one like 400c maxi. For its convenience, I can pack up everything under the seat including rain suit. I also can keep my riding jacket safely at parking.

Elegan 250i almost strike the deal if only it has ABS equipped.

However J300/kymco is priced around RM30k new, similar with new CBR500R which has always have a spot in my heart - I used to ride CBR150R. After considering that I can just live with backpack daily, I think I will give it a go. But then I was thinking it won't help me with other errand such as going to gym, or playing futsal where I have to carry a gym bag as well.

Then my wife advise me go for CBR500X instead and add saddle bag for convenience. It is also more comfortable for daily ride. I'm fine with that but this like strike the middle ground for me. I want a cool looking bike. I want a convenient bike as well. And this adventure bike is average on both and I still don't get the best in looks for me, or the most convenient.

Any suggestion? Maybe I'll have to resort in putting top box on CBR500R puke.gif .

naza cruise 650 is heavier than vulcan s i think,

if u like hyusong bikes... u hv to be prepared if it breaks down...

still new - get ready to claim, spend time waiting for parts.. etc...

like cruiser type of bikes better get a used vulcan s, then lesser chance of problem

cheaper if used.. like 20k ~ oni...

cruiser depends on the jam...if it is tight then will be jammed as well...

people say every bike oso got problem... but they din learn math " kebarangkalian " at school ?
