The majority of Accord, Camry and Teena are driven by middle-age or past middle age men because they have the means to buy them. However they should not be considered "uncle cars". If you are young and you drive one of these cars will people consider you an "uncle"? No, people will respect you as having the means to afford a D-segment car at a young age. Fetch your gf in them and you will impress your future mom-in-law far more than driving up in a Honda HRV. She's not going to think you are too "uncle" for her daughter just because you drive a car which is usually driven by people older than you.
On another note the term "uncle" is usually used in a slightly derogatory way nowadays to indicate an older and old-fashioned person who you would not want to associate with. It's not a good feeling to be called uncle nowadays (sigh).

anyhow, you cannot go wrong with these 2 cars it is meant to be used, and abused, with no worries
most obvious differences are in the way honda n toyota drives n behaves one is beneficial for you the driver, latter is for passenger
so who you trying to impress? You, or your future mother in law?

yeah, for me i think it's better to consider mazda 6 and volkswagen passat, for the mazda 6, they just launch the GVC system, I admit that the feeling is really better compare to the other 2 TS is comparing. On the passat side, the car feels solid and spacious yet lots of features, power and safety also up to date. That's my 2 cent la.

New Mazda 6 with GVC is pricier at RM170k just for 2.0 version. At the price still fit with halogen lamps And only 3 year warranty

I bought it for a few reasons. One of them was that it was the best handling of the 3 Japanese D segment cars in my budget (Honda, Toyota and Nissan). The Mazda 6 2.0 was 'kosong' and the 2.5 was out of my budget. They didn't have a mid-spec version like the other 3 at the time (2011).

QUOTE(roocarroll @ Apr 21 2017, 12:15 PM) There are a couple of things here: 2.0 D segment cars do 0-60 in around 9 seconds. It's not fast and it won't do much for you on a race track but it's fast enough for normal people driving to work etc. When I leave my condo in the morning, I don't floor the accelerator and push the red line all the way to the office. The current Accord has been on sale since 2008 with various faces. The model for 2018 will be all new. There is really no point in buying a car at the end of its product life cycle regardless of the discounts offered. Sorry bro honda accord and camry cannot sprint 0 to 100 in 9 seconds la
