QUOTE(6UE5T @ Apr 21 2017, 07:15 PM) Really only 9 secs meh? I think more than that. And it's not just about 0-60mph time, but more about how it responses when you're already cruising and that's where a car with good power/torque will feel a lot different. But anyway if got good power, actually no need to push the gas pedal much to red line, it should be more effortless, so that's the point! But yeah anyway people have different feel of what is enough power or under power, mostly based on driving habit. If one is used to driving under powered cars then they won't feel it's under powered in the first place so still ok. Quite true. Underpowered or enough power is mostly based on individual perception. I used to drive a 2.0L Optima. Many people will consider it underpowered but I considered it adequate for daily driving. I only feel the lack of power when climbing steep slopes. But for driving around town nothing to complain. Now I'm driving a Mazda 3 and compared to the Optima I can certainly feel the difference in pickup when I want to drive spiritedly. But for normal driving not a lot of difference in feeling. So unless you are the type who likes to drive fast and furious a 2.0L D-segment should be adequate.

Buy what you like. The shape, the drive the whole thing, and not listen to what people say this is good or bad. Mazda 6 is awesome and the Accord is not bad but Camry drive like a sampan on highway...

you can get RM6-8k rebate on Accord VTI-L now if Im not mistaken. Even higher for the lowest spec VTI, which puts it on par with Civic TCP pricing.
Not sure about Camry though
The car itself is great enough, but if you put it into the perspective of how soon the new accord will be revealed and all the new techs Honda will throw at it, it makes it less appealing to settle for the current gen now

QUOTE(hoong2188 @ Apr 23 2017, 09:34 AM) Thank you all sifu ... Camry GX got new engine ? The 2.0 engine is called VVT-iW, originally from Lexus NX QUOTE The ability to run two types of cycles is something unique as the Atkinson cycle has only been used in the hybrid model petrol engines. So Toyota’s engineers have drawn on their vast experience in hybrid powertrains to improve the conventional engine. With the high compression ratio, the new engine generates 167 ps/199 Nm, a 13.9% increase in power over the previous 2.0-litre 1AZ-FE engine. Yet it is also claimed to be 16% – 20% more economical. http://www.motortrader.com.my/news/driving...yota-camry-2-0/Accord 2.0 still has the old SOHC engine and 5 speed, the same as the new Perdana 2.0. Why not settle for Perdana 2.4 if you are only looking for just 2.0 in Camry/Accord due its price advantage?

Both are fine, very comfortable compared to my rocket wannabe tin can. If you can't enjoy the car then it's not the car's fault, it's you.

Cz iinm the max torque quoted are at 4400 rpm

Except some people do comment the interiors of new perdana is just too 2008-ish. There are only minor-minor changes done by proton, ie new hu and change interior theme color for 2.4. Engine wise, k24 plus 5 gear auto do bring best for normal drive

At RM138K OTR for a 2.4 D Segment, the Perdana should be selling like goreng pisang panas. External looks wise not too bad also. But I just dont see many of the new Perdanas on the road. I think the next gen Camry and Accord should be launching next year
If you can wait I think both are vastly improved over the current generation. Both in and out

VVT-iw vs i-vtec, which one better? since i-vtec + VTC do adjust the valve advance etc and valve opening closing(intake only), wheres VVT on the valve opening closing.

But I just dont see many of the new Perdanas on the road. Honda Accord (Proton Perdana) RM138k Since it's already a 10 years old model, need to minus at least RM40-50k from there. Because it's a Proton brand, need to minus another 20-30k from RRP So the final price for Perdana 2.4L should be priced at around RM70k in order for people to buy. Even that it may not even sell also. I think people just wanna boycott this brand forever.
