The Accord handles better but the Camry is more comfortable. Both are good cars. It just depends on your preference.

You should be aware that both models are due to be replaced in 2018 so if it's not urgent, you should hold off on buying until next year.

Then don't buy d-segment, just buy the smaller c-segment (Mazda 3 or Civic).

this year is the worst time to buy both. Not only the discounts offered are abysmal, but the new gens are just around the corner.

Just tahan abit lorr. 1 more year. The new Camry has already been revealed and has that Lexus treatment on it.

New Accord will ditch the dinosaur 2.0 ivtec and gearbox and perhaps use a new turboengine. Design-wise will have that civic ques on it as well.

or if cannot tahan then i suggest go for civic cuz its brand new gen with the latest tech

Perhaps, but in general D segment cars don't have RV. Also, it doesn't really matter what brand you buy. Conti, Jap, ... RV is relatively similar in this segment.

I'd go for the Accord, though really I'd pick the Mazda 6. The predecessor was one of the most reliable cars in the world, and it's still fun to drive, modern etc.

Every time think of RV might as well don't buy car! Which car doesn't depreciate? The depreciation rate is accordance to the car price in regardless of conti or jap! Motorbike also depreciate in value! cool2.gif 2 L for these two are like turtle ler! So big size but small stamina! Puff! Puff!

Why stupid move? Maybe TS doesn't mind if both give massive discount? rolleyes.gif it's gonna be another year or so before it arrives here! One year a lot of uncertainties .Maybe Rm will be 5 against the greenback and fall miserably against the yen! Thus maybe jap car price will hike for another 10%or so!

2.0L for d segment is a bit underpowered..but then it depends on your pov..for cruising not that bad. maybe brisk acceleration with full load, will suffer. better go for a smaller c segment (altis 2.0, civic 1.5T or mazda 3 2.0).

for the car itself, currently camry have newer engine with 6 speed gearbox (tho the review said, the gearbox a bit lethargic). about handling cant say much about the 2.0..since i usually drive the hybrid one. the car generally comfortable..nvh a bit good. steering feel a bit numb..body roll is quite ok.

If you want the space of a D-segment, just go for the Honda Civic, you'll be surprised with the amount of space it has.

I think late this year or early next year, honda and toyota malaysia 4 sure giving massive discount for accord and camry to clear stock and waiting for new model.

depends on ts, but for me. I will wait 4 new gen camry & accord. new gen got leaps and bounds improvement as compared to current generation. both accord and camry 2.0 engine has been carry forwards since few years ago. they only tune it for fuel efficiency and imagine it almost become obsolete for the price u pay.

u can get many discount but remember u will be hit by massive depreciation also since people know the tech has been around for many years. If u can wait and not desperate to get a car, better wait another 1 years.

civic for me still a bit small for my height. I sit on accord and civic, civic just ngam ngam, but accord got left space for leg space both when im sitting in front and at the back. really huge. If new accord come with turbo, then it will become perfect product.

There are a couple of things here:

2.0 D segment cars do 0-60 in around 9 seconds. It's not fast and it won't do much for you on a race track but it's fast enough for normal people driving to work etc. When I leave my condo in the morning, I don't floor the accelerator and push the red line all the way to the office.

The current Accord has been on sale since 2008 with various faces. The model for 2018 will be all new. There is really no point in buying a car at the end of its product life cycle regardless of the discounts offered.

Really only 9 secs meh? I think more than that. And it's not just about 0-60mph time, but more about how it responses when you're already cruising and that's where a car with good power/torque will feel a lot different. But anyway if got good power, actually no need to push the gas pedal much to red line, it should be more effortless, so that's the point! But yeah anyway people have different feel of what is enough power or under power, mostly based on driving habit. If one is used to driving under powered cars then they won't feel it's under powered in the first place so still ok.
