Hi guys, newbie here. REcently i realized that if there is a need to restart my tplink c1200 (given by tm), it seems to need some time to get stable (sometimes restart again to get stable wifi connection). Also, the boot up period is a little bit long but i think less than 5 mins and will freezed once in a while (rare). Went to tm, they told me to exchange with tplink c5 (2 anthennas). Need some advice from sifus if i should make the exchange? Million thanksss.

I'm using the C5 v2. much more better than the useless c1200

May I know which TM point you went? They allow to change without additional cost?

I want to change too lol

Hi bro, Im from Kch, Sarawak. The main HQ at Batu Lintang, no additional cost as still under warranty.

It is like you're comparing a cheetah (c5v2) with a tortoise (c1200).  rclxms.gif

Hi bro, another question is that should disable the ipv6 for the tplink router?read from forum, seems like its quite troublesome when its being enabled.

Some forumers says disable the spi firewall might reduce the cpu load. I've tried that as well. It doesn't change that much. So it is better for you to not turn off the spi firewall.
*
So just disabling ipv6 will do then, any other thing to be disabled which can reduce troublesome matter?

USB sharing, print server. disable all this. This might reduce the load to the cpu although it doesn't improve much. But better.

Thanks alot bro, when i changed to c5, will tell the tm personnel to disable them.

Hi Bros, just to clarify one more thing before i made my last decision to change my c1200 to c5v2,the unstable wifi to me is high ping (reached 3000+) sometimes while i download or watch youtube (normally will recover by itself after some time or need to keep refresh until its stable), during the period when its fine, then download speed will reach 3-3.6 MBytes/s at most.Im using Unifi 30Mbps. Is this the unstable wifi bros meant?

Just change it bro. All willl be better.
Bro, what do you mean? You can update to noip or dyndns on the ‘Advanced’, then ‘Network’, then ‘Dynamic DNS’. You can make your settings there.

Sure, thanks bro

Hey bros, any recommended router that i can buy for my unifi, am currently using Tplink C5 by TM. Been quite stable but sometimes it just turned up to be chaos (high ping with 4 digits when using WIfi, Lan is fine, can I concluded that it doesn't related to the incoming source?/),checked but don't think is the wifi channel issue, my budget would be less than 600. I have seen the Huawei WS880 for the price of 499 I am not mistaken. Any suggestions or recommendations is highly appreciated. Thankss!!!
