sorry bro, i think you kind of confuse with my early statement. i was not offered contract position after entering Petronas. i was during the interview stage.

let me explain again to you, when they 1st call me for 1st interview (TA), they invited me for contract position. 10 days after the 1st interview, they call me again for 2nd interview (SI). that's mean, they have change from offering contract position to permanent position.

the chronology is like this:

(1) Called for Technical Assessment (TA) for contract position -----> (2) called for Structure Interview (SI) for permanent position -----> (3) Issuing GL for medical check up ------> (4) Issuing Offer Letter for permanent position

hope this help

Normally fresh grads they will put you as seeding since you do not have a dedicated "box" for you yet. So you will be directly reporting to your HOD. It depends on your luck and your determination, it takes quite a while for you to change from seeding to a dedicated indicator. Some can up to 2-3years.

Does it mean that those who in seeding position is in permanent position? And, what about PIPE? It only for permanent exec?

1st question cant really answer you exactly coz it will depend on your job description and scope of works.
2nd question, it is very fun actually, not only just talk, there are some outdoor activities, community service, presentation, group activities and etc. Once you finish PIPE session, you wish you have it longer than 2 weeks, trust me. biggrin.gif

wow, the level of spoon feeding on the expectations are doh.gif
i assume those with 89-90s nick means they were born those years which explains the spoon feeding.

how does one, who went through all the interview, getting job offer and still asking details on the job? Is the job description not specifically mentioned in the job advert? shouldn't all these question asked to the technical manager that was in the interview session?

miaopurr : worried about travelling? then don't work la. if GTS no consulting business with OPUs, then GTS can close shop. Many GTS new engineer (so called consultants) are being sent to OPU to be train and gain experience, but some of them wanted to show that THEY are consultants and they know better than these senior engineers in OPU. doh.gif

mzdiey : executive rotating job at plant? google la bro.

mangoman is very patient in answering the question. he has a lot of time to spare i believe thumbup.gif

The working progress is sluggish, too many Bumiputera (not trying to be racist)
Spent the available budget in unreasonable way e.g. Bought system and device and in the end nobody make use of it
Well, it's a good place to work for if you look for a job which compensate you good, and no tough workload

it seem's you have a "problem" with bumiputera, since your other post in Dunham Bush thread also talk about this. try to be more open bro, just my advice.

I'm sorry for misleading words, didn't relate "sluggish" to "bumiputera"
Both are separate noun and object, not correlated. But they are the fact.
Apologize for the misunderstanding.

Not about the spare time, just that some questions are quite funny here, the answer is getting repetitive. tongue.gif
