Otakuya bad as f. When Animal Crossing came out those who buy from them more than 2 weeks only get their game. Won't even refund.

This is what I heard a lot in the discord group on Malaysia server.

I heard 2 stories. Is otakuya straight cancel there order and claim no more stock but jackup there price. And another version was the who pre order or buy it before the price increase. He just didnt pos them out but keep jacking up the price and label "in stock"

Bad after sales services. Pretty much only reply before/after payment. After that will ignore you and give alot shit reason to say he's busy.

Many complain on fb group also. There was 1 case on the buyer receive a switch v2 and notice battery bulging. Msg him no reply untill tthe buyer send a complain to shopee. Then otakuya baru reply rofl.

14/3 receive found out issue on 18/3. Msg the guy no reply untill sudmit complain to shopee then reply on April.

Oh yeah i forgot to mention. Otakuya claims that docking your switch will overcharge your switch. So that's why the battery bulge up.
While nintendo offical says this

Ok for me. Less pple buy, I will be more happy to buy. Many buyers unable to wait n keep msg the sellers after big sales sure jam up the whole process. Don't buy... Lol

Why not Otakuya?

Was looking at his page on Shopee but hesitated and went with others instead.

I can clearly confirmed it that the battery will not bulge up when docking overnight. We put some serious endurance test in the set and battery. So no issue on that matter.
Im a service enginner for nintendo switch production line in kedah.
There are 2 production lines in factory in sg petani kedah under foxconn subsidaries company.
And since mco, production output is zero. So there will be market shortage after this.
Output perday should be about 2200++ sets ( the grey units).
Even tho i play/testing with switch everyday, still i have to buy my own set.
Hahaha.

For asian market, stock is coming from china.
And based on info from my colleague in china foxconn factory, they are ramping up production output perday. In china, output is around 10k units/day from 8 production lines.
I have been in china foxconn factory, there, the production line/workers are no jokes man. Works like fuking robot.

wow this is actually interesting. But it's weird why don't Malaysia sellers just take sets produced by local production factories? Would save a lot of costs, maybe production too low?

Not really. We suppose to run production until december for about 1.2mil sets (sorry my mistake perday is about 4000++ sets running 2000++ sets per 12 hour shift)
That how foxconn works actually.
They want people in western fell more premium feeling when they see 'Made in Malaysia' products rather than 'Made in China' products.

been checking out if I should invest in physical or digital games.

Physical games
+ resell value
+ discounts from seller
- eats up physical space
- requires a case with cartridge space

Digital game
+ dont need to buy a fancy bag, just a slim back to put the switch can already.
- can't be sold off once you finish the game
- 256gb might be used up quite fast?

I'm thinking to go digital for my future purchase. I know we'll need to switch region to another country that supports Nintendo Eshop, and buy using out credit card right. Any other thing that I should be aware of?

But now MCO production sure slow down a lot no?
Premium for western but we have to search high and low for even imported Japan sets sad.gif

On a totally unrelated note, I have a switch lite now which I have ACNH on it, been playing for almost 150 hours. Now planning to get V2 switch but cloud save dont work on AC :/
Any tips or solutions to help ease the process of migrating my items to new island?

Yes. We cannot buy the switch we produce. Once complete packing, all will be shipped outbto their designated destination.
Even rejected set need to be repaired to reduce rejection.
Foxconn make it clear, we need to maintain rejection ratio below 1%.
If more my factory will kena red flag.
Foxconn is very strict about this matter. We can hantam play the switch in the office but cannot take it out. Hahaha
