info : some of japan set nowdays under maxsoft malaysia

How to know if one's unit is Japan set? And also how to know if it's covered under Maxsoft...any way to check?

Box are written in JP. No joke the manual or the basic setup guideo n the box are in jp.

* the retail box written in japanese language
* there is maxsoft label on the retail box

Ok, thanks for the info. Mine is not JP set then, as the box isn't in Japanese. There's a logo saying that it's 'Asia' set, whatever that means. No Maxsoft sticker on the box though, but there is a leaflet inside the box saying that I should contact MM Soft Sdn Bhd (Maxsoft?) for warranty issues, in addition to listing other companies/distributors for other countries e.g Singapore, etc.

Yheah that's under maxsoft. And iirc they also send back to SG maxsoft for repair and stuff.
How much did you buy yours?

Might wan to scoop around those local pshysical store and ask around. Most major store are either out of stock or price jack up. Everywhere is out of stock not just malaysia. So price is jacked up at this period. Better to wait or just buy it now and enjoy it. Ofcoz that only applies if you have extra cash laying around.

Just wan to enjoy it while you have time. Since MCO has nth to do most people are stuck at home. For lite i saw some deal around 1049-1199. You can try to search around. But new stock are all increasing. Better get it than late. Price wont be going down anytime soon imo. Since everywhere is shortage and scalper buying them non stop.

The price wont magiclly go down instantly in 1 night. After MCO is lifted. Will probaly go on for another few months. Estimate another 2-3 months for them to go back.

So if i were and have the extra cash lying around just get one. Or seek around for used unit if you dont mind.

Or you can wait till MCO is lifted. And see those people selling there used and panic buy unit. Or just buy one now and work harder later on. Ofcoz as i mention earlier. Only buy it now if you have extra cash lying around. No idea if they will extend MCO for another 2 weeks or not.

Agree~ just wait until then. I saw even used unit in Amazon is selling around 230-240USD. The only concern worried is whether it passed custom or not..

Lol wouldnt even bother. Better just get local set with that price range. Since warranty would be easier. Just went shopee/lazada. Most price tag are around 1149-1199 for now.

used set $240 = rm1046 + tax + shipping cost .. let's say with all that , the total cost around rm1200++ or rm1300++ , with no local technical support .. i must say it's totally pointless , rm1200++ / rm1300++ for used set ? expensive

Woah the new pricing for Switch is really absurd - almost 2k for the V2 console alone.

Back in Feb-March (before MCO) it was selling for under 1.4k. Thinking if I should pull the trigger, not sure if the price will actually drop after MCO or not. Animal Crossing seems really tempting
