So with rumours of the new Switch 2019 hitting end of this year, I cant decide if I want to get a Switch now or just wait until the refreshed version comes out

Bought the Switch anyway, starting off with Zelda and Mario Kart 8. Feels really good in the hands too

Can't blame them.

They need to clear leftover stocks, so if they are priced the same, nobody is going to buy the leftover ones and Maxsoft can't return it Nintendo for sure and they don't plan to reduce their profit margin so they just mark up the newer ones until the stock depletes.

Awesome, I ditched my full fledge console for the Switch because of my schedule, I can just turn it on and play a quick round of games and move on to other things in life lol.

The accounts from any countries are fine - just depending on the preference of games that you play. For example, Japan account - you can access to Japan-exclusives, while US accounts are mainly to purchase game because you can't access the store via a Malaysian account (not available). I'm not sure if US prices are cheaper than the Europe ones, but I am using a US and JP account. You can have multiple accounts in one Switch - even when you open the store, it will ask which account you want to access the store with - same goes with the games as well. No worries.

All Switch comes with a dock - just connect it via HDMI and you're good to go (monitor has to have HDMI). I am using Xiaomi's powerbank to charge - no issues on which powerbank works or what not for me.

Memory card - I assume you will get the SDXC (>32GB) and at least a UHS-1 support with a decent write speed will do.

Hope that helps. Oh, do make sure you get the latest mid-2019 Switch (red box) - do check the past few pages on this thread.

From my experience you can still play on either account - no problems at all.

I usually purchase games using my US account and play with my MY account (main game account).

Woah the new pricing for Switch is really absurd - almost 2k for the V2 console alone.

Back in Feb-March (before MCO) it was selling for under 1.4k. Thinking if I should pull the trigger, not sure if the price will actually drop after MCO or not. Animal Crossing seems really tempting

That's a good deal. I sold my Switch last year for 1.1k with 2 games because most of the games don't really interest me at that time, now I regret lol! So many new games to play, thinking of coming back to the platform

I closed my eyes and pulled the trigger for the standard v2 - the AC edition abit too girlish for me haha.

Got my unit + AC game for 2.2k. It's not too bad I guess

Actually to be fair, the second hand units are not far off from the price of new units.

Just they'll bundle some games + accessories to make it sweeter for you. Then again, how much are you looking to save from a secondhand vs a new one?

Carousell would be a better bet, but just be cautious nevertheless. Don't fall for pricing that are surreal.

Your TG came pre-applied?

If its a TG, just remove it. You can still use it without TG, just don't dock it. Use the cable to charge until your new TG arrives.

Oh I was gonna say, by docking it might risk getting scratched lol. Just be careful when docking / removing from the dock.

I was at Impulse earlier today to check out the Special Edition, they were kind enough to show me difference but I went with the standard version eventually

They still have stocks for the OLED Switch if anyone’s looking for it.

Should be around the region of 1,850 - got mine at this price, should be the current market price.

Impulse bringing in the newest Skull & Co. Grip Case for OLED and current Switch.

Not sure if they’re bringing in the Maxcase - need to detach the grip case every time I finish playing if I’m gonna use my existing case :/

Wow if this is the case then its also partly Maxsoft’s doing for the inflated price here

Either A1 or A2 is good - I personally gone with the A2 and it’s quick!

The Nintendo endorsed one is just branding, nothing special. But please be wary of fake cards on Lazada or Shopee - alot of fake cards being sold as authentic or genuine at a much lower price.
