Anyone have a quick charger and can confirm quick charge has been enabled?

I believe Xiaomi do not implement the Qualcomm Quick Charge for this model.

Not right now

a week ago yes

Right now the custom ROMS are testing a video calling fix

but before they started to test the roms were STABLE AF

i say wait another 2 weeks before you flash a custom ROM

I myself using custom ROM from a week ago and it is MEGA stable.

Using RR official now, everything works fine except for video recording freeze at 50 seconds. Battery a bit less friendly from MIUI, but still depends on usage. But definitely will much more smoother and faster compare to MIUI.

Yup. Google map has no problem for locking GPS but it guided me before to a kelapa sawit farm and I was like WTF?  blink.gif
Not really that case bro. I clicked waze and waited endlessly to detect my current location let alone my destination........Thanks to that WAZE lock in problem I almost ended in Genting Highlands for no particular reason!

My dotter Redmi Note 3 having no problem. Like your case maybe becoz of Android problem? Old Android probably working well. Will there be any gps fixes from Android in the future? I don't know about flashing ROM. icon_question.gif

Anyway to lock in GPS under 30 seconds and 10 seconds outdoor is acceptable. However is there other phone models quicker than that?  hmm.gif

Frustrated becoz of this GPS problem until I'm considering back to square one brand Samsung...... shocking.gif

Go to setting , in battery section. Choose the manage apps battery usage.
Then choose the waze . In background setting , select no restrictions

One thing I don't understand is that if REDMI NOTE 4 has problem with GPS then why Google Map has no problem of GPS locking?

Is it WAZE or REDMI NOTE 4. My dotter REDMI NOTE 3 Pro has no problem with either WAZE or Google map!

Can any pros here help to solve this mystery? bangwall.gif

You can download this app >> google play - GPS Status

If yours is working fine, it should show your current location with ease.

Why did you say Wazes give you problem? What sort of problem? How did you know Waze cannot lock in GPS?

When I set a destination in WAZE. It should be searching network but instead of that after a few seconds it showed No GPS. Showing approximate location despite all settings done. So basically when I'm outside travelling, it can't detect my destination or if it can detect, it's not consistent thus it often land me to a country lots of windmill. bangwall.gif

I have done no restriction setting, recalibration setting, open location access, high accuracy setting etc etc etc. ranting.gif

My 4GB local set has no problem locking into GPS using Waze and Map(funny how the menu is hidden). But so far I only tried at home. Strange thing is this morning I set it to high accuracy, and just now I saw that it has defaulted to batt saving mode again. Checked battery menu, this location thing is not listed inside the battery saver mode.

I think you may try uninstall the Waze completely, reboot the phone, then install again. Try and see before and login back your Waze account.

What version of MIUI you are using now ?

Go to Security App -> Permissions -> App Permission -> Location ->
then look for Waze, check if Waze is allowed to use Location.
