What's the successor to Redmi 4X? Is there redmi 5x? I want a similar form factor 5 inch phone.

I am still using Redmi 5 with Android 8.1 and MIUI 11...speed still acceptable and lightweight

I saw some Redmi 4x selling around rm260 at Shopee. Didn't mention as 2nd hand although other sellers mostly sell refurbished.

yep. either used set or their parts have been replace and repaired.

I have a Redmi Note 3 but its way too old and ageing, just keep for random troubleshooting backup. Also have another Redmi that uses the 3080mah battery, unfortunately this one drains battery like anything. Not sure why 4x is so battery savings.

well, used/refurbish set will have their own risk. if you're lucky, you will get a set that no problem or maybe minor issue only. i can't recommend any because i don't have experience on buying it. maybe you can read the review first.
maybe the phone battery is having issue and need to change already.
i still own my redmi note 4 that have been flash into custom rom using lineage 18/android 11. smooth and still good and being my backup phone.
