Anyone facing the same problem. It can't detect the location even tho you are in KL city!

Same here and becoz of this I hold my decision to get the 64gb+4gb variant. Really celaka! The 32gb+3gb already updated to new update and still the same. Any solution? Tried this n that still the same.

WAZE. In the house kah or outside the house kah, very inconsistent gps detection even tho using data or at home using wifi/hotspot.

Basically REDMI NOTE 4 SD MY version is a good budget phone but some flaws I've detected were

1. Laggy at certain games even tho it's a normal game but maybe some apps are running.
2. It will generate heat if you are charging with the flip cover case closed. Make sure you left the flip case cover opened while charging.
3. Average camera and if you are dark skin, remember to use flash.

Anyone having the same problem? If not all having the same problem, that means I've striked a jackpot for having this problem alone!

Another problem is if you charge the battery to 100%, it will drain fast so my suggestion just charge at 90% and then stop charging it. Weird huh?!

Normally if you click waze and select the location you want to go, wait for a while it will search your location and then set to go. As for mine, it will keep searching your location endlessly or using approximately location.

Do try your waze using data and let me know.

Yup. Google map has no problem for locking GPS but it guided me before to a kelapa sawit farm and I was like WTF?

Not really that case bro. I clicked waze and waited endlessly to detect my current location let alone my destination........Thanks to that WAZE lock in problem I almost ended in Genting Highlands for no particular reason!

My dotter Redmi Note 3 having no problem. Like your case maybe becoz of Android problem? Old Android probably working well. Will there be any gps fixes from Android in the future? I don't know about flashing ROM.

Anyway to lock in GPS under 30 seconds and 10 seconds outdoor is acceptable. However is there other phone models quicker than that?

Frustrated becoz of this GPS problem until I'm considering back to square one brand Samsung......

I bought two sets of this redmi note 4 SD Malaysia variant and both having the same issue.

One thing I don't understand is that if REDMI NOTE 4 has problem with GPS then why Google Map has no problem of GPS locking?

Is it WAZE or REDMI NOTE 4. My dotter REDMI NOTE 3 Pro has no problem with either WAZE or Google map!

Can any pros here help to solve this mystery?

If yours is working fine, it should show your current location with ease.

When I set a destination in WAZE. It should be searching network but instead of that after a few seconds it showed No GPS. Showing approximate location despite all settings done. So basically when I'm outside travelling, it can't detect my destination or if it can detect, it's not consistent thus it often land me to a country lots of windmill.

I have done no restriction setting, recalibration setting, open location access, high accuracy setting etc etc etc.

This is my problem. At least you locked in around 20 seconds while mine is like the image below

What is wrong with the phone? I bought two same sets of the Malaysia 32GB+3GB variant and both experiencing the same problem!

My mission to purchase the 64GB+4Gb variant put on hold because of this problem.
