Perhaps in terms of raw processing power, 650 wins. If we talk about energy efficiency, 625 wins.

I think other than battery life is the phone will not easily get overheated when you open many apps and playing games too.

QUOTE(Lineage @ May 31 2017, 11:51 AM) Hi guys, Eyeing the Redmi Note 4/4X..4GB/64GB version..price wise its quite similar.. Would like to know the difference.. Note 4 - Snapdragon 625 Note 4X - Helio X20 Is this the difference? I hope this is correct, Note 4 - SD625 (14nm, Global) or MTK Helio X20 (20nm, China) SD625 more power efficient and less heat but MTK processing more powerful and claims to be efficient as well. Redmi 4X for here is using SD435 (28nm) less powerful than both above. Redmi 4A is using SD425 (28nm), less powerful than SD435. Xiaomi did a trade off to pair SD625 into Note 4 with newer design and spec in getting costlier SD650 but older tech in Note 3. See if the future Note 5 will pair with SD660 but the price is going to be near to 1K mark, time will tell. P.S. Thanks for the pointed mistakes. QUOTE(Lineage @ May 31 2017, 07:10 PM) Indeed Xiaomi released Redmi Note 4X as global version. QUOTE(Lineage @ May 31 2017, 10:53 PM) Thanks for your short and simple explanation.. DirectD website is confusing.. http://directd.com.my/redmi-4x-hs Then if 4/4X also SD625..what is the difference? Sources say the difference is on cosmetic changes and updated hw spec. SD 660 SoC is using 14nm production and using Kyro CPU inside, so it may appear as strong and efficient. Wonder will the future RN5 will take this or SD 630.

QUOTE(MustyBalls92 @ Jun 23 2017, 12:28 AM) Yeah I'm interested to see how this develops as well my bet is if sd660 pricing is good and they decide to do dual camera they will go for it if not they will go with sd630 I guess SD660 wouldn't be that "cheap" already, most probably they would take SD630 with dual camera setup. If they indeed use SD660, pricing might be RM999 for 3/32 and RM1199 for 4/64. |

QUOTE(jovigrunge @ Jun 27 2017, 04:08 PM) When I set a destination in WAZE. It should be searching network but instead of that after a few seconds it showed No GPS. Showing approximate location despite all settings done. So basically when I'm outside travelling, it can't detect my destination or if it can detect, it's not consistent thus it often land me to a country lots of windmill. I have done no restriction setting, recalibration setting, open location access, high accuracy setting etc etc etc. I think you may try uninstall the Waze completely, reboot the phone, then install again. Try and see before and login back your Waze account. |

QUOTE(jovigrunge @ Jun 27 2017, 09:27 PM) Well thanks for your suggestion but I tried that a couple of times and still not working. What is wrong with the phone? I bought two same sets of the Malaysia 32GB+3GB variant and both experiencing the same problem! My mission to purchase the 64GB+4Gb variant put on hold because of this problem. What version of MIUI you are using now ? Go to Security App -> Permissions -> App Permission -> Location -> then look for Waze, check if Waze is allowed to use Location. This post has been edited by Silfrijin: Jun 27 2017, 09:44 PM |

QUOTE(jovigrunge @ Jun 29 2017, 09:31 AM) Google Map works fine with me including navigation but unfortunately I stop using it when it brought me to a palm oil estate instead of my actual destination. Google Map can use cellular data or wifi to determine your current location but is approx only and may not use GPS. |

QUOTE(ken_hidaibuki @ Jul 1 2017, 09:52 PM) Using my rn4sd for gps as navigating trough penang today.. the phone kinda warm.. n it lock gps within 5 second whilst im driving. It may be because the phone try to keep GPS in locked and your data connection may not be constantly stable throughout the journey, fluctuations of signal strength, therefore, the core clock running high. |

QUOTE(devilmaycry9 @ Jul 6 2017, 09:30 PM) I think they claim that battery capacity lower can get slimmer phone. Efficiency wise I would see more or less the same as both are made in 14nm but SD 630 has more updated spec like newer modem spec, audio and etc. That was what I guessed earlier RN5 to use SD 630. Newly leaked info on Xiaomi X1 using SD 660, with price surely more than RM1.5K++ ... |

If Webe can offer competitive rate plan with support of 4G+ intraband, it may win some of us here to MNP ?
