Good? Any good decent tropical(is this the word) tyres?
I don't sprint a lot so the extreme grip semi slick would not be useful to me. What I'm looking is for a more confident ride during the rain, the world is going to end next year, see how it rain non stop since the beginning of the year, even during CNY? |

Planning to change tyre. 2 options 1. Yokohama A- drive - RM 180 (hin leong, Klang) 2. Silverstone Kruizer - RM 145 (hin leong, Klang) Never used silverstone before. Is it recommended? |

To be fair, I have not used silverstone's performance range tyres (if there is any) as I only driven my gf's proton saga with stock silverstone tyres. Compared to my neo's stock CC5, the tyre's grip limit is crazily low (to me) and if you take really sharp corners with speed, the tyres already screaming at you to stop. Not fun. Plus other reviews on silverstone especially the tyre guys makes me want to think properly whether to invest on silverstone.
Actually I don't think silverstone is in my choice, I'm now using PS3, the next tyre change should be the BS RE050 or RE001 or S1Evo |

Agree bro, Silverstone M3 on BLM is just suck.Actually I don't think silverstone is in my choice, I'm now using PS3, the next tyre change should be the BS RE050 or RE001 or S1Evo No grip at all, car like BLM with poor brake can lock this tyre easily on wet even with slightly press brake at low speed (40km/h), screaming at corner and damn noisier tyre, unbearable noisy. The problem is no matter how i torture and cornering like mad, the thread isn't gone faster, suck tyre... This post has been edited by coolkwc: Mar 29 2011, 09:39 PM |

This tyre will allow me to learn and feel my car's true potential. Why not I let you know when my thread reaches 50% or less Added on March 29, 2011, 9:55 pm QUOTE(coolkwc @ Mar 29 2011, 09:34 PM) M5 i dun know. M3 is the most suck tyre ever used (although this is the stock tyre on my 1st car). So funny la. I saw your reply with a quoted statement from another user saying silverstone M3's (if this is the one which comes with BLM) grip is impressive u are sure joking with me, this tyre good grip in wet? Please don tailgate my car with ur suck tyre equipped car during rainy day. Added on March 29, 2011, 9:39 pm Agree bro, Silverstone M3 on BLM is just suck. The problem is no matter how i torture and cornering like mad, the thread isn't gone faster, suck tyre... I think you misunderstood his statement, he meant impressively challenging? If M3 is the standard issue among BLM, I can safely say that this tyre is for my gf type of driving (even that may not be very safe) and/or uncle-aunty driving. If one were to drive fast, I also can safely say that the grip level is abysmal and if in wet, grip is almost close to a coffin-booking extravaganza. Anyway, I agree with you, to any drivers on M3, don't tailgate me also. Flash at me and yell that you're on M3 tyres and then I'll lay red carpet and let you move. I'll even pray that you'll live 100 years old for saving my life by not tailgating me. But if a car driven by ala Takumi style then different story already. I'll be amazed if you can corner faster / outbrake me This post has been edited by Zaypher: Mar 29 2011, 09:55 PM |

So the question come out now.
I plan to change my 13" rim + tyre to 14" (Don't ask me go for 15", BLM is BLM, 15" is too heavy for this tiny car), so which tyre is recommended? My requirement and priority, 1. Must be silent. 2. adequate grip. I won't expect too much in term of performance out of obsolete 14" tyre. I know Michelin Energy XM1 got alot of good feedback, any others fall into my requirement? |
