QUOTE(turion64 @ Feb 25 2011, 10:48 AM) can rate the michelin tire below, which is the better? please rank them 1-10 - 1-best ; 10-lowest PP2 has been discontinued in year 2010, replaced with the PS3. Even without the new PSS, the PS2 still out ranks the PS3 in performance and grip. Using your list, the ranking should be:-PS3 PS2 PP2 Premacy LC Energy PS2 PS3 Premacy LC XM1 Energy |

Currently driving Chevrolet Optra and planning to change tires.
Currently using Michelin PP2 195/55/15. Any suggestion wad tires to get? Preferably low noise + comfort. |

i have just replaced my CC5 with PS3. I am very excited to try it out on twisty roads but for now, the only corner i can test is those nearby here and due to the volume of road users and road condition, i cannot determine how well PS3 is under heavy cornering.
But as for now, PS3 is definitely more grippy than the CC5 (duh). The corners which I use to slide through with tyres screeching away is now quite tame already |

Logically speaking, the roundabout here, the max speed allowable is probably 80km/h? even then, i'm expecting all four wheels to lose traction by then. well just give it a few more days for break-in... after that it's grip will be slightly better... not sure if it works for you but it is a good all-rounder tyres... if not u should be GSD3 already or even up 1 level to extreme tires, but extreme tires will not gives you the grip u need during wet...

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Mar 1 2011, 05:14 PM) what i meant is my car have DSC (Dynamic Stability Control). it will automatically brakes and release torque from individual tires to prevent slipping. hence it is not so accurate to test the tires. heck i cud even turn it off but still the RWD made the car weight ratio almost 50:50 thus my test result might not be applicable to all the bros here |
