Souvenirs are not cheap in Taipei. Normal key chain selling at NT50 to NT100 each unless u get the tiny stones type~NT10/each

2nd go for the famous pinneaple tart...The famous one is located right inside Taiyuan airport at NT550 for a box of 10..That's RM5.80 each for a pinneaple tart!! Cheaper wan ~NT200 for 10 but tatsed worst than Melaka wan.

3rd go for the cheap Yehliu Geopark dry seafood products....These are cheap...but only if your luggage can fit in those seafoods..

Cloths & fashionwares are not cheap..forget about those

The famous pineapple tart selling NT250 for a box of 10 but when I compare it with other brand selling NT150 for a box of 12, the later taste as good as the famous one.
Taiwan tip bits are also good for buah tanggan. Like the dried beef in cinnamon flavour is a good gift for friends and families.
At fashion wholesale center in Wufenpu, your can buy dirt cheap clothing too but china made quality. It is a good time to buy winter jacket though, definitely much cheaper and more choices than Malayisa.

Old notes

Bank of Taiwan (?) only one bank will change, no charge.

Wufenpu & Clothes

Not always the prices, but the choice of styles, a bit more JPNS/Western looking than stuff in Mainland shops.

Foodstuffs

Try the Wellcome 24 hr supermarkets. Or, buy the stuff from a Taiwan shop in Msia! I see ppl paying for extra luggage, several loaded carry-ons Why bother? ;-@

Almost all winter jacket displayed at the shop front tagged with similar price of NT490. Even in Ximenting.
To me, these NT450 winter jackets should be able to tahan up to 0°C or rather suitable for Taiwan's climate. In IOI mall where can get winter jacket for RM15 wor ??? All winter jacket above RMN100 and RM15 can get a box of 3pcs underwear nia leh.

Japanese goods?

What range.... Mitsukoshi Dept Store, Loft, Muji, Family Mart, Lawsons, Daiso (100yen type), many in Taiwan. Look in the Sg Wang Daiso to see what you can get here. Don't be one of those with four carry-ons hogging the overhead bins.
