Tech stock try to avoid lah, i see it as rebound only, semi-conductor will show oversupply in this 2nd half. As for the US tech stock, they drop drastically because it is simply overvalue.

It is well certain this year is going to be full volatile with the Fed policy of shrinking its balance sheet, even ECB also intend to raise its rate after a decade of zero interest.

such vertical run up will usually come with exhaustion hence the need to protect your profit when any kinds of weaknesses show

but it really depends on your way of trading/investing/punting, etc

some might think that the earnings and CO will continue climbing to 150 (guess)



hence topping up during weaknesses is their choice to maximize returns

but things always work both ways

first thing first.... definitely not a buy at this moment of time (for me) ...

common sense would suggest a consolidation/pull back/correction should happen soon, given how strongly the stock has advanced in such a relatively short period of time...

so for me... i will sit and ride the profit (logical commonsense reasoning... ie... one should never chicken out so fast.. ) and will use the stop PROFIT to protect my winnings, which will be set around 1.00-1.05. As long as it doesn't dip lower, I would hold the sucker (don't believe in those 'sell half strategies')

that's the first part .... sometimes it will hold above our cut profit point but it might then wander like a headless chicken for a long time.... which makes the 'sitting' period utterly unproductive and invites the 'accident to happen scenario'.... hence, even if does hold above, the REVIEW part is important....

but ya... review thing is very subjective.... some says it requires some kung fu skills.... cos if review is too hasty, one ends up cutting profits way too early....

Yeah .I confess I used the sell half strategy..in fact I went further n sold 2/3 yesterday. Keeping 1/3 to see how much higher Oil can go.

The stop profit is quite helpful idea. Will keep that in mind.

But what helps the most is, I have a sort of valuation of the stock I am trading....that would probably overwrite the nonsense i wrote to you....

cos if I have strong belief that the flower valuation is say around 1.60... beat die also I won't sell and I will try to hold on tightly....
